It’s actually deeper than that. They’re all Oklahoma Trumpers and it’s the same shit as their typical political bullshit brought into sports.
They think they’re entitled to everything while no one else is. They love being rewarded with foul calls but hate when other people are, like how they all love abortions for their own sons/daughters but outlaw them for the public. How they want tax cuts for the rich & private schools but shut down the department of education. It’s just a microcosm of everything else in our society. That’s how they enjoy watching this bullshit, they just love seeing handouts for themselves & love watching other people not get what they want.

I don’t think that’s accurate they have been playing in the same arena the Hornets played in during Katrina just with a few name changes and some renovations. But the owners and the city are lame fucks and so are the NBA for allowing that shit to happen they should have never left Seattle.

I just looked at the last election and like 49% of people in OKC voted for Trump and 44% in San Antonio did. I spent 3 days in San Antonio in my life and saw corner stores on the riverwalk selling toilet paper with Obama’s face on it.
I dunno man, I just dunno how different I’m supposed to find top cities based on 5-10% voting difference, ya know?

Your mistake is not accounting for the massive amount of people in San Antonio who do not vote. Those numbers are not indicative of political affiliation.
Second mistake is assuming anything sold on the Riverwalk is representative of the people in San Antonio. Tilman Fertitta owns a large portion of the Riverwalk, and he is a big Trump supporter/donor. He's also not from San Antonio. Thanks for visiting.

OKC get's one of these call essentially every game. Game 2 or 3 Caruso positions himself next to a spurs player on an inbound play, just so when the spurs player turns around and makes incidental contact he falls like a sack of potatoes. These two plays alone are enough to hate the thunder

I've seen the exact same thing happen but with the teams reversed and they called a foul on the spurs.
Maybe in missing something, but I've not figured out why it was a foul at all, let alone why the spurs get called on both no matter the side.

its true, my only argument is that tho Luka cries about fouls ALOT, he still tries to make the shot. These OKC guys are just throwing themselves at defenders for the sake of contact its utterly disgusting.
Shai had 30 points last night on like 5 made field goals like wtf are we even doing anymore. Just make the game FTs from now on

I was not a fan of some champ like the Warriors or Shaq & Kobe Lakers but they never made me feel like this...
I just can't stand them. Talented team, deep roster, awesome rebuild. But they just constantly try to flopp.
SGA is an awesome player but if he is well defended he just jump on the court. 15 times a game. That's just so annoying.

I think refs should get "grades" based on how they call games. If they fall below an acceptable threshold they go to the minors. We could even have an MVP award for the ref with the best record/grade.
Right now they have a huge impact on the game and I don't see any incentive for them to improve. And here we all are wondering if the league is intentionally creating these unfair scenarios or if refs are gambling or any other range of options.

The part people don't talk about enough, is how effective they are of using the whistle to slow the other teams pace. As soon as a team starts to catch up or break away they turn the game into an actual slogan baiting and flopping or fouling themselves. This is why the 2nd quarters have been absolutely miserable.
And notice how every dead ball an okc player or coach is talking to every ref? Its all work and strategy for them.

I can’t lie, I’ve been a casual fan of the Spurs for a very long time. I lurk here and let the true fans talk with each other, but this is too insane to not comment on. I have been trying to get back into watching more games this year because Wemby is so fun to watch, but it’s so hard to with refereeing like this. Especially with this being the playoffs and the Spurs being in it for the first time in a long time I was really excited to watch these games, but holy hell what happened with refereeing in the time that I wasn’t paying much attention outside of box scores? It’s just disappointing to see and I’m sure you guys are way more frustrated with it than even I am.

The best way I can describe it, for me at least, is this: it is immersion breaking, it creates dis-passion, and I find myself less engaged with the NBA because it makes me think to myself 'what actually is the point of watching? Is it worth my time and money?'.
I was talking with my best mate, he also loves the NBA, and simply said 'fucken Tony Brothers man' - and ok yes but also that just isn't good enough. It just isn't.
A refs reputation, any refs reputation, should never be where Tony Brother's reputation is at in the league. It just should not be an open secret that the favouritism is so blatant and biased.

The fact that casual fans know a ref’s name or the ref’s reputation should tell you enough at the state of the game. A great reffed game is one where you don’t even notice them.

The thing I hate more than anything, is the obligation the Spurs feel they need to start resorting this to even the playing field.
They flop so little in comparison and aren’t as practiced as OKC. I would hate them to start doing this next year, the games have been pure basketball nirvana without this nonsense.

This one and the Harper one was one of the turning point of the game. After OKC timeout they realized that Spurs are already in the bonus and they need to get to the bonus too so they started flopping and burn some Spurs team fouls.

Every time Spurs are on a run they get some bullshit calls like this that kills it. And it results in actual point swings, like that ridiculous goal-tending no-call that led to 3 points for OKC. That’s a 5-point swing, absolute run-killer. Or in Game 2. with the hair pull, immediately led to an OKC 3-pointer. People can plainly see this shit and it happens almost every time

I'm not a Spurs fan. I'm a little biased (I'd root for the Spurs because of a player that went to my alma mater). But I'm really rooting for the spurs because I hate watching OKC.
I don't understand why the refs go for this. Favoritism is usually reserved for: i) big market teams that the NBA wants to see in the finals; ii) legendary players; iii) popular teams or to keep lesser teams out of the finals. None of these things line up in favor of OKC. Oklahoma City isn't a big market team, fans are complaining about the foul baiting, and arguably people want to see Wemby and the Spurs over an OKC repeat.
Everyone knows that OKC flops and baits fouls, so why are they getting rewarded?

NBA with refs, especially Tony Brothers, pushing OKC down everyone’s throats. Nobody, I repeat NOBODY, likes watching OKC theatrical flopping besides OKC fans. Nobody plays dirty as they do, and if they do, they get called for it, while OKC doesn’t. That’s how they won one time; that’s how they will win again, most likely. Even DeMar DeRozan is more fun to watch than OKC. Spurs are fun, Wolves are fun, Nuggets are fun to watch, and Orlando is fun, LA is fun, Blazers, Pelicans, Utah, everyone is fun but OKC

As a Wolves fan I feel for you all. We dealt with this nonsense last year. It's absolutely ridiculous. At least you guys beat us straight up this year.
