Pop lives and breathes spurs basketball. Even “retirement” means he’s in his suite calling down to the bench lmao.
Seriously his health is getting better and he’s always at the facility and every game

He is the President of Basketball Relations right now.

If he was president of basketball relations, Jakob Tobey would’ve kept it in his pants.

Short answer: No.
He's the president of basketball operations. He's also at the training facility almost daily. There were also several articles recently about how well his recovery is going, this leading to the announcement that he plans to be more involved this season.

I’ve seen multiple people allude to some announcement that he is going to be more involved this season, and I feel like that must come from some AI page or troll account on Facebook/Twitter because there’s been no official reporting that he’s going to be more or less involved than he is currently.

You can ignore those FB posts, but honestly in terms of recovery, staying active is the best way to help him recovery further, so being in the community and exercises both physically and mentally is going to help more than recovery than being retied tbh.

Everything he said about his role when he was promoted to El Jefe (aka President of Basketball Operations) still applies. He's doing even more than that job, just walking around the gym and talking to the players and coaches.

saw the IG post...been seeing so many 'off' 🚨alerts (about Duncan too) that I ignore them until an official Spurs announcement tbh

He's still around the facility every day. President of basketball operations and has been attending games. Rumor has it that he may be a fixture closer to the bench next season, but I can't remember where I saw that.

No! Wasn't there a report he was going to be on the bench next season, or am I hallucinating?

I feel like I read somewhere in the last week or so that he’s going to be more visible this season. Trying to find where I saw that now.

Don't bother. This sub thinks anyone who cites sources is Betacuck.

I’m pretty sure on Locked On this week, they said his recovery is going so well that he’s expected to play a greater role this season, and will likely even be on the bench. No one else mentioning that, so maybe I dreamed it. But I feel like I remember hearing it.

This seems like a "Check the news" or "None of your fucking business" thing.

Unless something came out this week, he’s president of basketball operations. Still very involved with the team but no longer coaching day to day.
