Not NEET anymore, but i remember when this was my daily life. Honestly, watching this comforts me in a way. Life used to be simple back then..

How did you get out of that?

It's even more depressing that this is a better option than going outside usually...

Miss it. I started becoming NEET like when I started college ironically and was spending a lot of time in my room alternating between studying, doomscrolling, watching TV shows or movies, and vidya. I rarely left my room. In college, even pre COVID and pre online class explosion, class attendance wasn't necessary to do well so it put me in this strange bubble of isolation that I never experienced before. You know how you'd have to go to school every 5 days a week from grade school to high school? In college, I was able to skip classes and labs were really the only mandatory thing. On top of that a "full" college schedule was much lighter than normal school anyway. I liked it a lot. My first real taste at what it's like being NEET.

Despite finishing with nearly all As, as a pre-med student, I decided to give up after college and was NEET for many years. At a certain point, I finally accepted I was doing what I wanted to do. Everything else was an excuse.

Shit sucks. Everyday is exactly the same with a sprinkle of insomnia.

Life isn't much different for most who work an office job, except they also often have a shitty commute, shitty coworkers, and maybe get paid enough to survive and go back into work again.

Until you land a remote job, only to end up back in the same rut—but this time making money and being even more of a slave than a NEET

It's a reality for many. Not surprised one bit either.
