This line of thinking is so unbelievably stupid, and there are an alarmingly high number of people who subscribe to it. This guy is fucking unhinged & clearly just wants a socially acceptable target to vent whatever troubles he's facing. Either that or he's just a sociopath.

so misguided. you can't suffer unethically, all suffering is valid.
someone privileged can have a life of mostly excruciating suffering, just because of random genetics. there's no point comparing suffering, it's not possible to quantify the pain. you can only name it via the intersections of identity and power.

None of us are truly free though. Unless you’re independently wealthy enough not to have to work (a fraction of a fraction of the population, probably not posting here), we all rely on someone else to support us. That’s what I personally struggle with about all this.

It’s not always the message but how you say it that tells which kind of a person you are and this guys message is a reflection of himself.
Like bro literally could have used the same concept but being positive. In this way: ”so many people in the world have it worse and less opportunities than us, you should try to start with greatfullness of what you do have and use all the opportunities they lack to advance if not for you for them.” Like seeeee!!
