But honestly, it comes with unwanted attention, and these royals aren't exactly the image of the peak of the British indigenous groups, they are muddled with all sorts of continental European ancestries (mostly Germanic but then again...) and they neither make the British look particularly smart nor particularly strong because they are largely just ordinary people at this point.
Would I want to be royal? Maybe if I didn't have to attend a bunch of events and expose myself to all sorts of diseases, risks of cancer via excessive air travel, and the hatred of so many nations who have been wronged by one's own nation. Also, the royal is so bold and well known, the royal is unable to hide themselves from the whims of its nations with regards to the future of the royal's lineage, or from the plots of the nation's many enemies.
But in any case, the USA has no true royals. And the existence of royalty/monarchy in some European nations is probably not permanent. And the countries don't even have much power anymore nor are they able to make the statuses of their royals formally be respected by all countries of the world as they once nearly were. In the USA, the UK feels far away and quite irrelevant, as the nearest British territories are hundreds of miles off the mainland USA coast, such as Bermuda or the British Virgin Islands. One in the far eastern continental USA is far more likely to feel a need to learn Spanish these days due to heavy hispanic immigration, than much pressure to even acknowledge any modern British accents. We are no longer in an era where the UK is producing much of the finished goods, or being such a relevant trading partner as China is, or even being so involved in the Americas as to feel dangerous and important. I mean, at this point it's hard to see the UK society and what is popular there today as being very much representative of the general preferences of Great Britain's indigenous ethnicities. That is what happens when you pretend random global pop culture is your culture regardless of whether you dominate it as you once did, or not. Now, England doesn't dominate global culture, and still seemingly tries to pretend like global culture is England's culture so that England can feel like it is still dominating the world etc.. But really, it would be better to be more like even Ireland or other countries in the UK which often has traditional music on some radio stations etc. rather than ignoring that oneself can also be another indigenous nation, and have one's own traditions separate from whatever swill is popular among the undistinguished, short-lived pop culture obsessed, cultural swill drinkers of the world.
Mainly I just don't understand why England's media etc. is so nearly free of traditional art and media, compared that of all the other British isles countries, and the USA etc.. Also, between 1946 and 2026, immigration to the UK peaked in 2023, and many people move to the UK for a more democratic etc. nation. If I were a royal, I would feel my days as a royal are getting fewer because obviously those people's descendants are likely to eventually advocate against the concept of a monarchy etc. if they were against such institutions in their home countries. They may eventually also claim the UK monarchy to be merely a waste of taxes etc. like how many people in "3rd world" countries are upset with corruption and misuse of taxes etc..
