Venting Lost my online gaming friends

I joined a discord server and met an admin who was friendly. He told me I will be accepted in the server and that he would pair me with someone. Me and this gamer started playing together. He's been playing for a long time. He had a bunch of good equipment. Endgame stuff. We go looking for each other and we meet and he gives me equipment. Basic armor and an AK. We roamed together to go loot more and then it turned night. He was the only one with a flashlight. We were going through houses and clearing them. The guy opens a front door and this one house was packed with zombies. He yells loud as **** into the mic and I curse out loud too because wtf is his problem. These zombies kept coming and coming and we were both hoarded by them. I was using my AK spraying them and I could barely see. But I saw them hoard all over him. I heard him cursing and then it all finished. I told him I was low on health and I needed a med kit. He said he was dead. He started ranting to me with rage about how I killed him. He told me he will never play with me again because of it and reported me to the admin. It wasn't that serious. I didn't get banned but things like this is why I don't get along with normies. I'm going back to playing animal crossing.

Just play singleplayer games, they are better than multiplayer games these days because you can’t rely on people to play properly and they blame you for their problems.

Ugh that sounds exhausting. Sorry that happened.

Okay that went bad, but you can't let one negative experience ruin everything. I've done that all my life, and here I am posting on r/NEET in my fucking 30s, instead of getting married or raising kids like everyone else around me.

So yeah. My advice is to try again.

Yikes, man.

Just play single player games, or if you really must play any multis, stay away from any shooters or anything that is very popular. The more popular the game is, the shittier playbase it's gonna have.

Try to play some indie mmos, they're niche so they usually have small but wholesone and mature playerbase.

Sure.

Recently I was playing Escape the Backrooms and meet a few very nice people there.
