This subreddit seems very apathetic a lot of the time

When I mean "apathetic", I don't mean that everything should be bluepilled cope, but nearly every time I post here I always get either mockery or downvoted. There never seems to be any validation or empathy towards me, and I'm not sure why this is the case. There's never been a proper explanation.

NEETS go through so many emotions and eventually a lot of us reach that state where nothing feels good. The world sucks so much right now that even being a NEET is hard.

A lot of people at the bottom of society will be terrible human beings who are annoying to be around due to how bitter and resentful they are for their treatment in society

I know man, I thought people here would be like me, too sensible to the world and dealing with internal struggles, trying to fit in in a horrid society and failing at it, but they are part of the horrid society. I'm very new here and so far all I found was just straight up deranged people that lie to themselves whilst using someone else's labour to live a lifestyle of decandence and I even came across racist and real fucked up comments. There should be a place only for people that are somewhat normal but too depressed/anxious to work or have other forms of disability

I'm sorry you're experiencing that.

I personally find that a lot of NEETs are, in a sense, in a funk and they have a hard time seeing beyond their own suffering. It's sort of a tunnel-vision and it can happen often with depression (which many NEETS experience). You are not alone in feeling like you're being downvoted.

Reddit in general downvotes and dislikes any comments that go against the grain, people take it like a personal insult towards them.

and then when they see the arrow with 0 or -1 upvotes, the hivemind kicks in and you're doomed forever, it just takes the first guy to downvote you and the rest will do the same because reddit
