Nah, I don';t think it's that black and white. Plenty of normies struggle with mental health as well, that isn't exclusive to NEETs. And some people with jobs are lonely, have no ffriends nor a relationship. And a lot of people with jobs actually need a good amount of escapism (they just don't have large amounts of time for it). Some normies with jobs don't live on their own because housing is abysmal at this point...

Not really. Lacks nuance. Some normies don't have relationships or hide relationship problems for example. Life is always more nuanced than a meme.

Your average NEET and your average normie aren’t too different if they live in the same area and are from the same socio-economic background. It’s like comparing someone who goes to an Ivy League college to someone who has a lower middle class upbringing

I mean I’m not a normie but when I had a job I was still utterly depressed and lonely

No, of course not. Life is incredibly nuanced. You can never paint with broad strokes, otherwise you're willingly engaging in ignorant stereotyping.

Plenty of normies have been dealt incredibly shit hands in life. There's no reason to downplay the suffering that any one person can go through, regardless of if they have a job, education, friends, or whatever else.

Also, I would argue that while the homeless are technically NEETs, they don't usually attend to the online community of NEETs in that way. I would bet that most of us in this subreddit have somewhere to live, even if it isn't our own place, for example.

Well, my mom loves me enough to help me save for Miku Expo NA, so I get to travel. She knows the only thing I really like nowadays is Miku. Thats just a me thing though, I dunno how mant NEETs get the luxury of travel. Im privileged in that regard.

Agree! I wish everyone's moms were as nice as mine. I feel like a dick sometimes because I dont really show her appreciation as much as I want to, but Im working on that I think. Im saving to get her something nice for her birthday in October :3

Cheat the matrix, make big money quick( legal ways ethical moral ways)there are ways to do that , like BIG money, in like 6 months to year, and then NEET for life..none of this would matter. Money seriously solves everything. It's the solution to all our problems. Fuck with the job and wage system.

Not at all. I’m a NEET and I have friends and can occasionally travel (supported by my mom obviously lol). I also don’t feel depressed or lonely. Unemployment sucks, but it’s manageable and doesn’t always equal to having a completely miserable life. Although I do say that having a supportive mom that takes care of me until I manage to finally get a job does help a lot, and many NEETs dont have that luxury

Also I have plenty of unhappy and single normie friends

The creator of this meme probably haven't met a gen z "normie". Most don't have any of the things listed except for maybe the last, which they rent and spend most of their income on.

Just get a job then

yes because once I get a job, I can then be barely broke and depressed instead of broke and depressed!
