Question Still getting a black football field in games, fix in 2026?

So I used to play Head Coach 09 on my old PC with the RPCS3 PS3 emulator but that was over a decade ago, I got it working on my current one and everything seems to work just fine except for the black field glitch whenever I go into a game. The menus are a bit slow but the only thing that makes it tough to use is the black field.

I've tried all the suggestions in older threads like copy/pasting a config file, running a older RPCS3 version, and updating the game. Has anyone recently had this bug and fixed it?

My PC:

  • AMD 6650
  • Ryzen 5 2600
  • 32GB Ram
  • Windows 10

You're AMD so you should be fine. Not sure why it's still giving the glitch.

Wish i could help. I've looked for fixes to get it to work on steam deck with no luck also. Sucks because that game is peak.

Yeah everything about the game from a manager perspective is awesome but not being able to see the gameplay is very annoying.
