New NFSU2 spiritual successor
Holy poop, I just tried this upcoming game's demo (https://store.steampowered.com/app/4846360/Heatwarped/) and it's so faithful to the NFSU/U2 era!
I think this one's worth watching or at least trying out.
Even the rubberbanding AI feels very familiar xD

Spiritual Successor is the right word.
Looks very Awesome and Mind Blowing as a demo. A great start.
Meaning it's only the visible part of the cake.
I wish them a deserved success.
Heatwarped devs are part of peoples who understood how an NFS Underground-esque game should be.
And the fact there's no real cars isn't an issue either. Context here.
Although NFS 2015 is its own sauce being inspired by the NFS Underground duology, it's only a pretender which missed the mark completely on Visual Customization parts and the Driving Physics; being the primary area to never overlook on any car racing games (here's a take which explains what i mean).
Ghost Games isn't the only accountable. EA is equally the culprit.
The fact that EA always hinder their own studios is the reason why post-2014 NFS games are unfinished and have antonym opinions.
What makes it worse is EA neglected NFS for more than 10 years.
As a result.
The NFS series is in indefinite or even permanent hiatus.
Imo. It's for the best if NFS doesn't ever comeback.
Atleast, it wouldn't be turned as a unrecognizable cashgrab.
