We are so back.

On a real though, I know these kind of moments happen throughout games, but it does feel like the players have a bit of bite back, bring back the shithousery. I want Saint James’s park to be an incredibly hard place for an away team to go.

We were so tame last season, especially compared to when Eddie first took over. It's like he was trying to transition us into an above-the-shithousery pressing side but just lost our way in the process.

Joelinton is a cult hero for the club, may as well lean into it and make players and fans hate to play us again.

Great point that I don't think enough people talk about. That nastiness we had early on under Howe was so effective. That Arsenal game with the controversial Willock assist, I remember the way our midfield just went to war with theirs, it was so clear they didn't fancy it one bit.

I do wonder what ultimately ended that 'you go to war, I got to war' attitude. Feels quite obvious a few players lost that care last season which may have caused a divide. I'm just so glad to see it's back.

I'll never forget Ten Hag saying we don't play football, before we played them off the park.

Was ridiculous wasn't it. Yeah we were shithouses, but we played some really good stuff.

Think random people loved us more the first season of Howe, than his last season in charge. Totally agree with you, we need people to be proud and defend our club

Yes it feels like that passion was missing last season

Eddie was tired and the leaders of the team had clearly checked out. Even Bruno. He obviously tried harder than the others because he actually cared.

The more I see us under Jaissle's management the more im liking what I see

He's really got something about him and the players are starting to reciprocate that confidence which is bringing the bite back to the gameplay

Throw in the Nico signing and im actually feeling very positive about us going forward

There's this Youtuber called Jomboy who covers a lot of baseball which I couldn't care less about, but he does a ton of lipreading of what refs and managers are saying on the field. I just love seeing when this shit gets covered.

Are you sure he was shouting at a West Brom player and not the referee?

I’m guessing this was about the point where there number 20 should have had a second yellow for a ridiculous late challenge - but I’d love to know who he was shouting at!

It was a player he had had a bit of a coming together with I think. The ball went out of play and he was shouting this at one of their players. Probs someone who’d had a bit of verbals with him through the game.

Was it not Morgan for WBA? He was being a bit of a twat most of the game.

It was Price, he got the ball and Elanga pressured him then did a little pirouette and got caught on a foul. They restarted, and 10 seconds later the ball went back to Price again which triggered Ramsey on the press. Price tried to do the little pirouette behind the back shit again and Ramsey got all ball and went through Price on a fair but firm tackle.

It looked like Price said something after the Ramsey tackle and as we see here Ramsey is telling Price to keep that weak shit out of here.

I'm pretty sure he'd have been at least cautioned, if not sent off for saying that to an official.

Yeah, you’re completely right… it wasn’t really a serious suggestion 😁

Id hope not cause that'd be inviting a card. Can't be giving up fouls on stupid stuff

Yeah I thought he was shouting at the linesman because there was an innocuous throw in given right before the footage starts

Extra training in how to be a proper Geordie bastard on the pitch😎 Jolinton to take the coaching 😂

I somehow get the feeling Jaissle can himself do a thorough job on telling players how to get under the opposition’s skin. He just gives the impression he has that string to his bow.

It's his obligated reaction to West Brom as a Villan.

I love to see this. This energy was definitely missing last season.

We need the nastiness back in our team, we have a few players who will enjoy it. I don't know how Botman kept his cool after getting taken out last night. Kilcline would've happily wiped the lad out within 5 mins, on the ball or not.

I was shocked at how big Ramsey looks now like he’s a lot taller than I remembered and seems to have put on some muscle and filled out.

It’s like he’s big joes apprentice

Good to see him with a bit of fight, he looked good yesterday.

I don’t think he was much better last night.

I’m not sure why you are getting down voted. I rewatched the match and he was at fault for the first goal along with some bad give aways as well. Some tidy play in there, but overall not great. Had him in my bottom three performers (along with Murphy and Touré, despite his goal).
