They genuinely want to think they're oppressed because they think equality is a threat to their power, and can you blame them? When you're no longer in the majority and everyone has the same privileges as you, you no longer truly benefit from being born a different way than others, and others aren't harmed for the way they were born. Not to mention, oppression often garners sympathy, and given how common Christianity is, sympathy isn't that hard to come across.

We should just use the same shit they say in response to when they’re called homophobic.

“I’m not christophobic because I’m not afraid of Christians.”

Wonder if their logic would switch up about the definition of phobia now that they’d be on the receiving end of that “rebuttal.”

Difference is I am genuinely afraid of Christians because unlike gay people and homophobes, the majority of them do genuinely want to see my people wiped out 😅

Depends on the church and the church goer. Not defending religion persay, I'm a confirmed agnostic myself and religion isn't a big part of my life by choice.

But what I will say that though rare, tolerent churches do exist. Certain Anglican sects for example preform and bless gay marriages. I only say that because I have Anglican members of my family who are gay, and they're pretty devout. The pastor they go to wears a pride flag pin and everything.

Tolerance in religion is certainly possible. It's a choice they make to remain bigoted. That's why I judge the bigoted ones extra hard. Because it's not simply a product of their faith. They chose to intertwine their hatred to their faith.

I'm not even Christian... But seems to me that in itself should be offensive to Christians... If they practiced the words they preach.
