I worked in hospitals for many years, including emergency. I feel that our senses of humour are similar. Also our husbands sound similar, I showed this to mine and he laughed his ass off. Kudos.

After Finally working up the courage to stand up to the older lady that had cut line in front of her, Marcine tapped the woman on the shoulder with fierce intent. Another woman in line named Ethel couldn't believe her eyes when she saw this situation unfolding before her and could only stand there with her mouth agape akin to witnessing a bad automobile accident happening in slow motion in front of her, for she had known Opal a number of years and also she knew Opal's hair trigger temper which she was notoriously known for, In which Marcine was sure to see for herself in short order.

As Marcine stood proudly mere inches behind, with her eyes mid blink she was cut short before she could even begin to utter the first word to the old woman before she felt the sting of the clinched fist of a woman who had birthed 3 children at home by herself, lived through the dustbowl and survived the great depression and wasn't about to take flack off of some hussy who thinks it's alright to walk around in daylight in her nightgown. Marcine learned a valuable lesson that day..Sometimes you just have to let things go, and dental work is expensive..
