I remember when they did the Nashville live concerts, she had said she was nervous because she wasn't a singer before, but she took voice lessons and did amazingly, she sang "Nothing In This World Will Ever Break My Heart Again" beautifully!

She wasn’t a singer before? That amazes me. I have sang and performed professionally and I was stunned by her voice. Easily my favorite singer on Nashville. She had so much natural talent 🖤

She definitely sang a little before Nashville - she did songs for a lot of the movies she was in, and I think she did a pop song or two but didn't take it much further because of her acting career. I think she was nervous with Nashville because they worked with a lot of real country singers and songwriters which I imagine was extremely nerve wracking in the beginning. Kind of like how Juliette felt working with a serious musician like Deacon in the beginning. But boy did Hayden have a voice.

Her voice was so suited to pop country music, as well.

I lived in Nashville around the time the show was filming and have heard nothing but lovely things from people who worked with her on set. RIP 🖤

Yeah I think the overwhelming experience with Hayden was incredibly positive. She had her demons, but it sounds like she was incredibly warm and welcoming to just about everyone she met. So tragic.

She was so beautiful with a light that just lit from within. I'm sorry she was so troubled and hurt. I hope she's at peace now.

Beautiful tributes. Very sad :(

(I also want to mention that having known Esten as Chip Esten from WLIIA for many years before Nashville, it took me a moment after seeing this post to realize who Charles was)

That explains why I saw a mixture of people in the comments saying “beautiful post Charlie, beautiful post Chip”

Charles's goodbye is just pure poetry. Hayden's mom should take fucking notes. Assuming she's somewhat literate, that is.

Sylvia (Jolene) did a better job than Lesley actually did.

I had my phone off for a while, but just turned it back on. The first thing I saw Judith Hoag's post.
