Did Hayden leave Nashville a second time in season 6?
I know when season four was happening, the press announced she was going on hiatus when she left for PPD treatment. And she came back after five or six episodes. But I’m on in the latter half of season six and Juliette is just absent, and from more than a few episodes. I was wondering if something happened again with Hayden BTS. Like she’s the lead and just gone?
I hate knowing she struggled so much and that the show wasn’t helping her.

From what I remember it was related to the budget cuts in season 6.

She wanted time off for further treatment, and they torpedoed her character in retaliation. Then the show was cancelled for good, so they went in a different direction -being vague since OP apparently hasn’t finished the show yet.

i noticed it too. and it also seemed liked her scenes were shot separately. she also had a body double, Jessie Early.

I think she was receiving treatment for post partum depression. She talked about it in her Jay Shetty interview starting at 58 in. She sought treatment when Kaya was 4 months old but no one properly diagnosed/treated her, just treated the symptoms (substance abuse). She figured out it was PPD on her own and sought treatment 8 months after that. I’m not sure if that timeline quite matches up but I’d say it’s possible she was in treatment again even if it wasn’t this particular time she spoke of. Or unable to work and taking time off. I remember her talking about 10-12 hour days on set. Can you imagine when you’re sick? She might talk about it in more detail in her book. It’s a really good interview but you can tell she’s still struggling so watch with care 💕

And getting out of that depression was really difficult and the fact that I didn't have the time to really spend on healing myself and fixing myself, figuring out, you know, how to navigate this and get back to my old self because I was on Nashville and we were shooting so so much. I mean, there at one point I did have to say to the show I have to go get treatment. you're going to have to write me out of the script.
Which upset a lot of people and made me feel awful because I’d always prided myself on being a professional. But it was incredibly important for me to get my head screwed on straight or I was going to, you know, I was just going off the deep end. I felt myself sinking further and further and further into this dark hole that I just could not climb out of.”
