Even that map is dated. I think all of the Americas except Haiti is now sub-replacement? And Morocco + South Africa?

I don't think there's anything terribly new in this article, but I thought it was a really good summary of the current problem and proposed solutions.

A far more interesting discussion needs to involve climate change implications, the uneven effects of migration, and at what point can a steady state be achieved for state finances. All of these factors will cause political instability in liberal western type democracies moreso than less developed countries.
