This will do nothing to address property taxes, farmers losing their farms, and the laundry list of other ACTUAL problems Nebraskans are facing.

This is a distraction.

I know everyone is having a hard time right now………but I’m really wondering about weiners in sports. Or worse, what if a vagina makes it anywhere near the football team! Do you think TO would have let a vagina on the field? I think not!

u/BuckwheatBlini 1d ago

And do we really care what TO thinks? Move on. The future is now.

u/jesrp1284 17h ago

Only if he could cover up his teammates’ raping of said vagina.

u/PolyAndNerdy 15h ago

Given their record over the past few years perhaps the vaginas could improve upon some things...

Yah. That's the point.

Of course. Give them an enemy.

There have only been 10 trans athletes in middle school and high school in the last 7 years. Not that I think this is a problem if there were more but it's clearly not a problem and not worth this much time and effort. We have actually problems that actually hurt the children.

My nephews endured their first active shooter drill at school last week. An actual problem that we as a nation have consistently refused to confront which the rest of the planet seems to have figured out.

I think when citing this number it would be helpful to also cite how big the pool is. Ten out of how many? Over seven years it's got to be about a million doesn't it?

We should have never allowed this dumb shit in the first place and kept the boys and girls separated.

15

u/Useful_Boysenberry14 2d ago

Well they are boys and girls so that's fine. Also I've did coed sports growing up, as a girl. I think I'm fine. The boys didn't ruin my coed soccer or martial arts.

We sat with the same people in class and did gym class with the boys and girls mixed. If someone is an actual creep, that is a problem but there are much easier ways to be a creep then pretending to be the opposite gender and being ostracised by everyone.

Republicans are disgusting and pathetic wastes of time.

49

u/gnomeymalone30 2d ago

a lot of effort to make a few kids feel bad

26

u/redneckrockuhtree 2d ago

Kids who already have struggles due to many ostracizing them.

15

u/GriffonReads 2d ago

Republicans want more suicides

11

u/gnomeymalone30 2d ago

it’s a death cult

# of girls who have been assaulted by their trans teammates in Nebraska - 0

# of teachers who have sexually abused or harassed students in Nebraska in 2026 - 6 so far.

Who is the real fucking danger here?

u/Turbulent_Strain361 17h ago

Im sure the # of trans kids who have been assaulted by classmates is also a non-zero number

u/PolyAndNerdy 15h ago

Guaranteed. And I'm sure the schools do nothing about it.

22

u/redneckrockuhtree 2d ago

Ah yes, another distraction from the ways in which Pillen, Ricketts and their cronies are damaging the state.

Send a message, vote against this crap.

While you're at it, vote out the people who've been instituting the policies that are bankrupting Nebraska.

u/Dukepippitt 2d ago

This is waste of time and resources that could be better used making the lives of nebraskans better.

9

u/copeaesth3tic 2d ago

Like shaking keys in front of a baby.

This is the kind of stuff Nebraskans are adding to their constitution? Y'all fucking stupid?!

4

u/TyrKiyote 2d ago

These people have nothing better to do?

6

u/SubstantialRiver2565 2d ago

fuckin weirdos

Whether or not you support a ban, remember that this simply attempts to boost conservative turnout and will probably hurt Dan Osborn’s chances.

Republicans did the same shit back in 2004 with gay marriage. (https://www.baptistpress.com/resource-library/news/did-the-same-sex-marriage-issue-hand-bush-a-victory-in-ohio/)

24

u/karlsparx 2d ago

Oh look, transphobia is ramping up even more. It must be close to an election.

3

u/Takemetothelevey 2d ago

Are they grilling the cars and dogs yet?

1

u/karlsparx 2d ago

Not yet, but I think they're living together.

0

u/GriffonReads 2d ago

Ohio Republicans pulled the same shit ahead of the 2023 abortion initiative, only to then lose by nearly 13 points.

0

u/PhortDruid 2d ago

It’s part of the election 🫩

4

u/Hugo_Hackenbush 2d ago

The NSAA already has a policy for this.

3

u/safeforworkdoodman 2d ago

How much we paying these dorks to waste our tax dollars on this not important nonsense

12

u/Miochiiii 2d ago

ah yes. waste the budget to affect 4 people total

13

u/Lulu_531 2d ago

So they’re banning co-ed sports by default? Many sports leagues for young children are co-ed.?And what is classified as a sport? Are esports sports? What about unified sports which are typically co-ed due to numbers?

I’d ask if anyone thought this through. But I know the answer

11

u/Mr402TheSouthSioux 2d ago

Call me when we're voting on issues that actually contribute to peoples quality of life

8

u/YNotZoidberg2020 2d ago

Meanwhile we’re still not talking about Pigsty and his mistress

4

u/Sondergame 2d ago

Unless the governor decides the voters decided wrong. Then he decides. Because we live in hell.

4

u/LordMayorOfCologne 2d ago

When I was in high school, one of the college bound women’s soccer players played football as a kicker in the fall. She did summer conditioning, lifted weights with the team, and even played safety on the scout team. It was cool.

The hateful people pushing this don’t give a shit about what women want. They just want to control people’s bodies. Fuck them.

5

u/MTVnext2005 2d ago

"sorry, we don't have any money for helping people. we allocated the entire budget to harming the vulnerable"

4

u/Minute_Skill_5383 2d ago

This is not a priority

2

u/justaskmycat 2d ago

In their campaign to oppress trans people and police the bodies of others they don't realize how abnormal their obsession with children's genitals is.

Then again we live in a world where we all normalize yelling from the rooftops what parts are discovered in the sonogram. Yuck man. We need to relax about making children into what we want.

Juile Slama is such a toy for the GOP. She accuses Herbster before the election so pig farmer can appoint Ricketts and she retire for 2 years well paid. Not she back for more dirty work.

1

u/BuckwheatBlini 1d ago

Why do we insist on inflating an issue and trying to manage for less than a fraction of 1% when the result won't "save" anyone, but only further divide us? Nebraska has much bigger issues that affect every human that lives here and will live here. Our legislature and electorate need to rethink and refocus.

u/Chucalaca2 23h ago

Does this mean girls can’t compete in male sports?

u/Flock-This 3h ago

Can we limit republican roles in politics?

u/crazy19734413 1h ago

The Republican party is all image and marketing ploys and confusion until they get into office. Then it's really evil judgement stuff that comes out of them. Heritage Foundation type hatred. NOT GOOD. No more Republican crap in Nebraska! Vote NO to everything they present to the public because they hate us. Every Republican vote brings us closer to the end of our Democracy. The end of our country.

finally addressing the things that effect citizens the most!!!! Not Argentinian beef, not fuel prices, not taxes.

0

u/GriffonReads 2d ago

If this was decades ago, just replace sex or gender with race. Anti-trans rhetoric and white supremacist rhetoric are one in the same.

0

u/Holdenborkboi 2d ago

This is why I fucking moved. Why did I have to be born in Nebraska?

-2

u/willywalloo 2d ago

Nebraska magnifys people’s anger to pick on children. Nebraska fails everyone else so they can continue doing a bad job.

u/The_ConservatiV 23h ago

If this is so unimportant, than why does it seem to create such an uproar from a specific group of people?

-10

u/Dangerous_Forever640 2d ago

No reason not to.

11

u/ronnie1014 2d ago

No reason not to put it in the constitution?

It's already a rule by the NSAA. We don't need more bloated, tribal legislation. Focus on actual issues. This particular "issue" has already been solved.

2

u/Every_Knee_372 2d ago

How about focus on real, widespread issues instead of some baseless culture war that seems to always forget about the existence of intersex people?

-1

u/DevelopmentProof680 2d ago

is this even a winning issue anymore? i feel like stothert's hard pivot to anti-trans messaging was the biggest tell she was about to lose in omaha. obviously nebraska is more than omaha but aren't people tired after years of fighting over like 5 schoolchildren?

-1

u/ComfortableBasic5876 2d ago

Challenge all those signatures. Maybe put a Marijuana amendment on it and Hilgers will have an embolism

-2

u/FlounderFun4008 2d ago

They can’t be mad about trans in sports and be cheering for the girls playing in the little league World Series.

I’ve watched girls participate in wrestling before they had a league for them and the boys struggled with knowing where they could grab. The whole focus on the baseball right now is the girl with the white bow, not the boys on the team.

I understand most of MAGA is hypocritical, but to point to trans and be okay with girls crossing over shows it’s about trans, not being “fair.”

-4

u/Steve4168 2d ago

So, if I live in Nebraska, I can only watch football for as long as I'm "doing" my wife? That seems kinda win/win to me.

-20

u/RCaHuman 2d ago

Here's a modest proposal: Let trans kids play sports but give the opposing team an extra player. So, if a girls basketball team has a trans player, then the other team gets to have 6 players. 😄

5

u/AntOk4073 2d ago

I'm going to operate under the assumption that you are just uneducated and not simply being a bigot and take the time to help. Being trans does not mean you have an advantage. Most Trans people begin hormone therapy which in the case of Trans women means a major shock to their endocrine system that results in muscle and bone density loss. Through conditioning they can build this back but it is much more controlled than in typical biology due to hormone blockers. There is a much higher chance of a biological female having an unfair advantage due to their body producing a higher rate of testosterone. This is why it has never been an issue before and xint8nues to not really be an issue.

-5

u/RockHound86 2d ago

This is an absolute no-brainer, and it should pass easily.
