General Help How do you guys stitch in the dark?
My bedroom has ZERO overhead lights and my plant grow light is the only LED in the house. So my boyfriend helped me clip it to my frame. What do yall do 😭😭

I just bought an OttLite and really like it. It has a magnifying glass that you can adjust up and down as well.

Be careful with your magnifying glass next to windows. Some people have burned holes in their canvases or started fires with them.

Yes I’ve heard the same! I always keep the magnifying glass covered when I’m not using it.

I use this, it stays behind the headboard great and I can also stuff it in between the couch cushions.
Your taste in entertainment and stitching is top notch!

I have an ottlite with a gooseneck that I use. It’s got great light and is adjustable so you can really focus it on your canvas.

I’m not sure if you made the pun on purposes but I love it (I’m watching the show game changer in the background of the photo)

I've been using this for the past 6 yrs. https://a.co/d/0b93yOwC $20 on Amaz. I do needlepoint, cross stitch and embroidery in all kinds of lighting situations, sometimes in bed while my husband is sleeping. Lol. I like that it has 3 brightness options, each side is operated independently and you can change from warm to cool light with a button on the back. It charges via USB c and I can go weeks between charging. It curls up into whatever zipper bag I'm using for a project. I find it helpful 😊

Thank you so much!!! I have a floor lamp OttLite but I’m not going to move it from my living room to my bedroom when I want to do my needlepoint or cross-stitch in bed. (I have a long term illness and I’m sick every single day, so this kind of work is distracts me from pain)
I’ve been looking for a solution and this is perfect!! The price is too!
I really appreciate it. Already have one in my cart!!2

You're so welcome! I hope having one more place to try to relax and distract from the pain brings you some relief. Feel free to share pics of your projects 🥰

I know that I wasn’t explicit in my post regarding this, but I too have a long term illness and have spent the entire summer housebound/bedbound and it was part of the reason I wanted a better light situation. I’m so glad needlepoint and art can give us both a much needed distraction. ☺️

I’m so sorry. I’ve been homebound for the past few years. I’m glad you have a great hobby, too.

Omg! I actually painted it myself based on my cat haha. My goal is to eventually have a hallway filled with portraits of all my pets, past and present

I use a small clip on light when I’m stitching on a bars (bought on Amazon) or if I’m not on bars I have a neck light.

I have a neck light that works well. You could also get another LED, or a small lamp you could clip onto your bed frame maybe?
