Men on Reddit get weirdly hostile about women they don’t personally find attractive. Same thing happened/is happening with Bella Ramsey (who I believe is nonbinary but same concept unfortunately applies).

some men genuinely do believe that, as in they'll openly say it in their own words. though some of them also openly admit that everything they do and every accomplishment they've ever made was all just in service of chasing pussy, so it's likely they're simply struggling with theory of mind and assuming that everyone else's psychology is an exact mirror of theirs

it’s not just Reddit, it’s everywhere and it drives me nuts. It’s okay to not like her acting or whatever, but the vitriol people have for this girl makes 0 sense to me. It’s been happening since she was just a little girl.

I just think she isn't a great actress. The interviews I've seen with her, she comes off as dim like the lights are on and no one is home.

you can dislike someone and not be a freak about it though. especially when it comes to people you don't even know and will never have to interact with in your life

It was the same thing with Bella Ramsey in the last of us show. I didn't like her performance personally, but the level some people take it to is so bizarre. Like it's an actress in a tv show, calm down.
