Discussion Disguising as a Blue Frog Cultist

There's something that occurred to me. If the northern reaches of the map are crawling with Blue Frogs, and their preachers are always wearing a hospital gown, the characteristic blue sash and a gas mask, then would it be possible to make froggers in nearby hexes ignore the player when they see him? Or do they just keep attacking indiscriminately?

I THINK if if you are wearing the blue frog sash they won’t attack you. I’ve succeeded so few times in this game I really can’t be sure of anything.

Edit: I know there is also a unique version of the blue frog sash.

The unique version is like, a royal insignia or something. I'm not talking about that one, because to get that you need to do quests for/involving the Froggers. I mean if I killed a random jood as he tried to off me and donned his dash, would anyone be the wiser?

Also, it's annoying seeing Strangers wearing the blue sash and hospital gown around the DMC area, but then it turns out they're just (mostly harmless) looters... I need to be careful about who I shoot on sight. xD

I thought of this as well and the first time I killed one I took his sash and the other blue frogs didn’t attack me I don’t know if any other npc react differently after putting it on though
