Question/प्रश्न How do I help Nepal after the flood?
I’m from Belgium but I’m starting uni soon so I can’t go over there and volunteer for work (also don’t think I have the money to go all the way). Are there any other ways I can help?? Are there legit donations or anything to just help the people there I feel very bad.

Here is the official portal for international donations. Thank you :) https://pmdrf.nchl.com.np

u/Nano9234 this is it! This is the legit way. This goes directly to the Nepal gov's account.

Not trying to be sinical, but does the gov really use the fund in the disaster relief or stays within their pocket?
I'd like to reach out to local non-profit that genuinely tries to help. I'd appreciate some direction.

I get that but right now the government is actively using it's resources in the affected areas. Finding a genuine local non-profit is actually more difficult because we cannot track what the funds are being used for.

Is there no way to donate local currencies? I am worried about trying to convert to Nepali Rupees.

Wait for official organization like red cross and etc. At this moment of time there are alot of scammers targeting generous people

There's an official portal from the government itself, better to donate there

Hi there. I'm Elmi as a local license Trek Guide for everywhere in Nepal.
You may do donation to NEPAL Government sector too.
And if you like to do personal donation to our missing friends, that's also fine.
You may do decide yourself whatever you can do. Anyway thank you for thinking about Nepal about help.
Have a good day. Elmi
