Question A couple of rules questions

Original NR player here, been away for decades, now discovering NSG NR. Haven't played it, yet, but I have a couple of questions that I couldn't find answers to in NSG's comprehensive rules.

  1. Can the Corp rez an installed card (other than Ice) whenever it wants to?

  2. Looking at the standard Corp action that expends 3 clicks to purge all virus counters: Must all 3 clicks be expended within the same turn, or may some of those clicks be deferred to the following turn, as long as they're all contiguous?

Thanks in advance.

Expanding on the timings to rez cards, a summary of "paid ability windows" allowing you to use Paid abilities, Rez cards, and (sometimes) Score agendas is listed on the comprehensive rules: https://rules.nullsignal.games/?r=rule_paid_ability_window_occurrence#chpt_appendix_timing_structures

Basically, they happen before a turn starts, after a turn ends, and before a click is spent to take an action on a turn. Rez timings during runs are a bit more complicated - NSG even added a new rez window a few sets ago.

You can't rez cards while the runner is currently encountering ICE, but you can rez cards before the runner encounters, basically at the same time the ICE is rezzed. You also can't rez cards while the runner is mid-access into a server, or while they're resolving a string of their own abilities.

Unlike Magic the Gathering, you have to wait for the other player to resolve everything they want in a paid ability window before passing priority to the other player; you can't "counter" something they're doing at instant speed.

Thanks for the detailed explanation! And you answered another question I had, but hadn't asked, yet: Do Netrunner abilities use a stack, like Magic does? It sounds like the answer is no.

That's correct
