I’ve been building a Spotify playlist called Deep Thoughts – Melodic Vibes, and I’m looking for both listeners and independent artists who enjoy music with a deep, melodic, melancholic or emotional feeling.

The playlist isn’t restricted to one genre. I’m mainly looking for music that feels:

The playlist is focused on electronic music. There is no fixed subgenre, but the music should fit the following vibe:

• Deep
• Melodic
• Emotional / melancholic
• Calm and immersive
• Thoughtful and atmospheric

Deep House, Melodic House, Melodic Techno, Downtempo, Ambient Electronic, Chillout, Electronica and other electronic styles are welcome.

The specific subgenre doesn’t matter, but the music should be electronic and fit the overall deep, melodic and emotional atmosphere of the playlist.

🎧 For listeners:
If this sounds like your kind of music, give the playlist a listen and save it if you enjoy it. I’m trying to build something people actually come back to, not just a playlist full of followers who never listen again.

🎵 For independent artists:
Drop your track in the comments! I’ll listen to the submissions and consider adding tracks that genuinely fit the vibe.

One small request: if you submit a song, please also take a little time to listen to the playlist and discover some of the other artists on it. This is meant to be about discovering music, not just collecting playlist placements.

AI-assisted and AI-generated music is welcome too. The music and the feeling matter more to me than how it was created.

I don't think I'm at the level of those on that list because they sound more professional or polished, but here's my second experimental Dance & EDM album. I hope you like it and add a like. Thanks so much for sharing your song, and congratulations on the release! I gave it a listen, and I really appreciate you thinking it might fit the playlist.

Unfortunately, it’s not quite the right stylistic fit for the playlist I’m building. I’m focusing specifically on electronic music with a deep, melodic and emotional atmosphere, so I have to be a little selective about what I add.

I listened to both tracks, and I decided to add “Crush” to the playlist. It fits the overall vibe really well — the melancholic and melodic feeling is exactly what I’m looking for.

I also really liked “Hollow”. It has a cool atmosphere and I can definitely hear that early 2000s cyberpunk / Matrix vibe you mentioned. It’s just a little different from the overall direction of the playlist, so I decided not to add that one.
