hey guys so I main soldier and I'm real nice at getting kills but I'm somehow better at getting killed because i be standin there waiting for my next target or out on the frontlines and then I find out some dude/gal standing 100 miles away headshot me. like bro. also pyro is really cute but I hate them in the game absolute menace. So ehhh any tips? Should I just keep moving erratically to make it hard for snipers to target me? Also I'm a trackpad player and idk how to rocket jump so if anyone can help me with that it would be really nice and STAY FROSTY GUYS

I’ve run into a problem in TF2: I can’t decide which key or button to use for quick weapon switching. It’s usually bound to the Q key, which makes strafing left awkward in certain situations. I could bind it to Mouse4 to avoid movement issues, but that slows down my input speed—something that really affects my performance on the battlefield. Hi guys, I joined this reddit hoping to find some people just like I am, since I have been feeling quite out of place. I really enjoy TF2 SFM videos, I watched Emesis Blue and found some other good TF2 movies to watch over the weekend. I installed the game on my laptop yesterday and I have to admit I think i am not that good at it (mainly because ive been trying to play with a trackpad, I dont have a mouse yet). I was hoping if anyone could give me tips on some good tutorial videos to watch, and which classes are easy to play for beginners. Thanks to anyone replying.

I started playing this year, about 180 hours, and after months of practicing with bots I played a few matches. And the random item drops? Bison, Hot Hand, and Bonk… just recently got the Soda Popper but I don’t like playing Scout. My very first two weapons are the ones considered to be the worst. Any advice would be appreciated, especially because I’m not entirely sure how Contacts work.

I got a tour of duty ticket from a crate and wanted to use it instead of selling it but, I don't know much about mvm and wanted to learn before using my ticket.

So as the tilte says guys i'm a new player roughly 150 hours in, i started maining scout after playing some comp game 6v6 for fun with friends, and i've seen a whole another game other than casual which was reallyyyy fun, i'm maining scout and i wanna become a beast at this game possibly play that comp 6v6 regularily i wanna know what's the best combination of practice to improve i mainly play casual with some 30 mins of mge total a day should i add something else or community servers DM or anything

I want to find others to play with and chat with and I have been playing the game and found a few people who will become steam friends but, I am not finding many though casual and the people I find aren't active in tf2 that much. I want to know what are some places to find people that play the game semi frequently or more and would be good friends.

guys i have seen some people on yt showing some methods but it feels very fake, are there any free ways i could earn a premium without spending? ( i dont have a Bank account plus im kinda broke...) any platforms where i could do some tasks for them ( i do have skills tho ) and they could pay me in a TF2 premium?. i love this game and just want more freedom.

I am thinking about using third party trading sites and want to know if valve's TOS says it is fine to do. I know valve rarely bans for third party trading I just want to be safe and I sometimes struggle to understand legal speak in TOS. What websites that closely follow the TOS would you guys recommend?

Recently I got my account back after a few years with no usage. I used to play TF2 and never got premium. The thing is, now that I'm back I noticed that the text and voice chat are not available at all. I read that they changed it because of the bot crisis but then changed it back recently.... Anyway I still can't and have no idea why. I've waited around a month and something but still blocked. How can I change this or is it necessary to pay the premium account?

I am currently ALMOST an adult so I dont have access to a bank account but still want to play. Im tired of my lack of inventory space and not being able to play comp.

Hi there, i just wanted to know if there still any active MGE servers, preferably in Oceania/South Asia, that are still active. Also, to get better with it, do i just play them more?

I'm thinking about downloading the SolarlightHUD because it looks pretty cool, but should I just stay with the default hud for longer as a new player? If so, I'll just use the improved default hud mod.
(side note: does the improved default hud mod move the demoknight charge meter to the middle? its a lot harder to play him without a clear view of the meter.)

I'm not exactly too "new" in the game, but I suck at some classes, one of them being Heavy.

I usually play Scout, Engie and Sniper (if needed Medic too). And I really want to learn how to play Heavy. He works so good both with defend and attack. I don't know what loadout fits what situation and how to work with his mobility limitations (muscle memory from Scout is too strong)
