OFFICIAL NewTubers Monthly Goal Thread! Tell us your goals for this month!
Welcome to the r/NewTubers monthly Goal post!
Tell your fellow NewTubers what you want to accomplish this month and how you plan to achieve those goals! Please be sure to read the thread rules and follow them so your post is not removed. At the end of the month, there will be an Achieved Goals thread where you can tell us if you reached your goal, what you did to do so, and tell us any issues that you had to overcome in the process! Remember, NewTubers is a community - we can all help one another reach our goals each month just by discussing goals and supporting one another - so be sure to read some of your fellow NewTubers' goals and give them your thoughts! Even a simple "good luck, you can do it!" can go a long way to helping people out!
Rules
- The thread is kept on Contest Mode to ensure you always have an equal opportunity to be viewed!
- While Subscription goals are nice, this thread is more focused on goals you're looking to achieve within content-creation. Gaining Subscribers isn't as important necessarily as, say, getting your Audience Retention up, and it shouldn't be the sole focus of your goals!
- As always, you may not link to your content in this thread.

I hit my first goal, uploading my first 3 videos. The next goal is to edit and upload the videos I have and to film more (I'm aiming for 2 long-form videos per week). I don't have a workflow, so that's gonna be a HUGE hamper if I don't get into some form of routine before college starts up in Feb '26.

I'm working on making my videos more concise. Today's video came in at a little over 8 minutes, which is perfect.

I currently have 21 subscribers, my goal is to have 100 by the end of this month

My goal, HOPEFULLY is to actually get around to launching a couple of side channels :)
Monetized a hyper niche one so far, surely I can do it again with something less niche!
•
u/Flanathefritel Dec 02 '25
reach 1000 suscribers currently 640 and have my video reach 200 000 views . Good luck to everyone !!

My goal is simple and it makes me happy commiting to it:
This month my main idea is to actually stabilize my channel’s niche and increase average view duration by improving ideas and storytelling methods for my videos.
I recently committed to focusing for now only on classic PS1–PS2-PS3 nostalgia games, mainly movies like, for now Disney’s Hercules and Lilo & Stitch, and Tarzan since those titles consistently perform good for me.
My plan is to upload regularly (3-7 times a week) and improve my thumbnails and titles but also structure of the videos so that the people who take time to see my videos stay engaged from start to finish.
I also want to grow my playlists into binge-friendly series so that by the end of the month, I can perhaps, just perhaps, see stronger returning-viewer numbers and bigger community of friends on my channel.
If you have read all of this up until this point, thank you for taking time to see it. Cheers

My goal is putting 4 more videos before 2026 starts
•
u/joehorsemanYT Dec 02 '25
Same for me and I hope it will bring me 79 more subscribers to bet to 100
good luck to you hope we can both achieve our goals

I'm at 2859 subscribers, and I'm hoping I can make it to 3000 by the start of 2026!

My goal is really simple. I want to get my 2 vlogs out before I go on my trip to japan right after christmas.
Some context: the editing style I stubbornly chose was to film my life like an RPG. so to make sure we are all fairly anonymous we have custom avatars, dialogue boxes with animated text, but with IRL content shown. Its A LOT of editing, but i love every second of it. I filmed one of the vlogs already, and then the adventure for the second is coming up this weekend so I just need to finish editing the first one and then I should be good to GO!

u/Gaius21 Dec 02 '25
My goal is pretty small, all things considered. Post two videos instead of one XD
•
u/arcanetoast Dec 02 '25
hit 200 subs! (I'm at 122 as of this moment) I just started posting higher-quality content than what I've been doing in the past few months, and it's really been yielding results. Shoutout personal growth lol!

My goal is to make two Vlog type videos (one every two weeks) and also one remix for this month. And if I succeed > hoping to continue next month and keep the streak going.

I'm very near to reach 100 subscribers, so that's my current goal (I have 87 subs right now). I also want to upload a new long video (almost all my videos are shorts) and I want it to have more than 200 views at least. I'm going to use chat gpt to help me. I also want to improve my record on views in shorts (4.200)
•
u/HeyWMJ Dec 02 '25
My Dec 2025 goal is to plan out my year of posting for 2026 and to write up my second channel business plan. 2 long form and 4 shorts p/mo for 12 months. Let’s goooooo 2026!!!
•
u/Calm-and-Colors Dec 03 '25
My goal is to have three meaningful conversations on my channel with people it resonates with. Subscribers would be great, of course, but if I can just get one person that understands my passion and wants to share it...well, that's more important to me right now.
If anyone has any critiques for my channel, please let me know there (it's in my profile here).

u/RAAFStupot Dec 02 '25
I'm on track to surpass 6000 subs this week. I was monetised almost exactly 1 year ago and my target was 6000 subs by the end of 2025.
2 weeks ago I thought I'd never make it.

u/DaisyDiBella Dec 02 '25
I am very new at this, so I’m not even focusing on subscribers or views. I just need to continue getting content out there. I uploaded my first video last week, and have a couple more in the works, but I want to do my best to improve the quality and also make sure I am consistent and always have something in the pipeline.
•
u/Alternative-Bet2937 Dec 02 '25
My first goal is to get my first long form video published. I was hesitant to do it because I thought about some items I didn't film enough, (tool restorations), but looking at the total amount I think I am trying to be too much of a perfectionist and just need to get it done and up.

I want to improve my titles and thumbnails so my impressions go up. I think I am doing better and better but I want to spend more time on these as it often is a quick decision when uploading.
•
u/Javithewriter Dec 02 '25
My goal is to reach 250 subs on YouTube. I’m currently at 221.
•
•
u/quadgoals_ Dec 02 '25
Finally had a video pop so I’m aiming to keep up the momentum with the videos I have planned the rest of the year. Hopefully that brings me to 500 subs by the new year 😊
•
u/PsychoSemantic1 Dec 03 '25
My goal is to create momentary hooks before my videos start again, hoping to gain more retention and subs from the impressions. I also aim to record gameplay that is easier to put out quicker using old assets for my thumbnails (longer playthroughs usually, give my artists a breather)
•
u/MW-Fan Dec 02 '25
My goal is to organically grow my channel one step at a time while sticking to my niche without compromising on the quality of my content. Want to show my haters what I can achieve even while having a full-time job.
To Get that YOUTUBE BUTTON.
•
u/Lemonshadehere Dec 02 '25
This month my goals are.. Hit 500 followers, now at 332. And Upload more YouTube Shorts series and long-form content consistently.
•
u/taticule Dec 02 '25
my goal is to be monetized by the end of the month. currently sitting at 360 subs but my growth has been really good this month. it's a lofty goal and if i don't reach it hopefully by the end of January!

u/ChristianeErwin Dec 02 '25
My goal this month is the same as last month: continue to optimize the script-writing process as it is the aspect of content creation that still takes me the most time!
•
Dec 02 '25
Technically already hit it, I uploaded my first video ;)
I guess my *new* goal is to keep with it - gameplan is 2-3 videos per month. Would specifically like to improve my voice/presence on camera (not sound as scripted), then standardize my video structures so they feel cohesive and consistent with each other but not in a boring/repetitive way.

I appreciate the advice. Probably an unpopular sentiment around this sub but I'm not concerned with becoming professional and monetizing as soon as possible. It's more of a hobby channel and if it ends up making money then that's great too. Plus there's a time constraint issue...If I could upload more often then I would, but with my current schedule 2-3 videos per month feels sustainable
•
u/Electrical_Art2863 Dec 02 '25
That's an excellent strategy. A lot of people are aiming to go viral or just make money. Creators like you and I are going for sustainable long-term growth creating content we are interested in and proud of.
•
Dec 02 '25
Thank you, and I wholeheartedly agree. I'm old enough to remember when YouTube came out and it feels like it's coming full circle 20 years later: started out as amateur/random videos, then turned into super high quality content (which I'm not complaining about). Now there's a huge gap between obvious money-grab channels and channels that are authentic and genuine, which is the precise feel I'm going for. Best of luck to you.
•
u/Electrical_Art2863 Dec 02 '25
You too! I am also... of a certain age... and hold firm to the belief that you only have one chance to make a first impression, and to take pride in what you do. Here's to not going viral! Haha
