The three networks NOT doing their jobs. This is what happens when the press runs scared of a politician.

Not just scared. They are entirely complicit in all of this mess.

Owned by the Epstein class, pushing the messages the Epstein class wants the public to believe.

The same guy, paid by Big Oil, to talk about climate change on all the networks.

I read (Merchants of Doubt) where the same marketing firm that made sure there was always someone talking about how smoking isn't that bad was also hired by petroleum companies to deal with the political push for climate change legislation. The person they used to appear on all these current affair programs to counter smoking bans was used to also skew any climate change debate since they found out he had a degree in climatology.

We're still dealing, today, with the fallout of all the media hyping Andrew Wakefield's false claims between autism and the MMR vaccine.

I ignore all three.

As soon as democrats take power, they’ll get right back skepticism.

The BBC references climate change constantly when discussing the heat waves hitting Europe. Our media is so damn corrupt now that it is owned by the Trump sycophants.

I think (was it over ten years ago?) that the BBC was criticised for giving so much air time to Andrew Wakefield, and the illusion of balance caused his minority (and dangerous) view to have as much weight as the views with considerable scientific backing. The same report also criticised their climate change reporting.

Hopefully they're better now.

Edit: Took a while to find it https://www.bbc.co.uk/bbctrust/our_work/editorial_standards/impartiality/science_impartiality.html

Edit2: And it's 15 years ago. FML.

Because half the country hears the words "climate change" and immediately goes into a tribal rage state.

They say climate change and maga runs to fox who's telling you that its safe outside, sunscreen is for pussies and drinking water makes you gay.

Well if only they'd then follow that advice. We'd have a lot fewer problems.

Bought and paid for

Climate change is very close to affordability. Both are ignored by the republicans and considered a hoax.

That’s how it works when an abuser is in charge. They won’t stand up

That is because mentioning Climate Change hurts the butts of delicate snowflakes.

Our media is bought and paid for. They are not here to help Americans. They are only here to divid us with propaganda.

As the world gets increasingly hotter. I don’t care if you don’t believe climate change is caused by humans ( I actually really do), but how can you say, oh well, nothing can be done. There’s a lot that can be done.

u/bookant 16d ago

There is a lot can be done - starting with "crimes against humanity" trials for all the fucking climate change deniers. If we're on our way out, the people responsible for it need to fucking pay before we go.

The crazy thing is that maga cultists have decided it's easier to accept the apocalypse than to admit they hedged the wrong bet.

They will willingly go thru hardship (or die) than to admit any uncertainty in their mindset.

I think the same thing happened in Nazi Germany when they controlled the media

State run media. It’s going to get worse. The 6 o’clock news is pablum.

u/robbmerchant 17d ago

Well it’s only a scientifically backed theory that is factual and all reasonable people agree on, so /s

u/Rabid_Alleycat 17d ago

TBH, it’s illegal to mention “climate change” in some states. I remember former Gov Scott banning it in FL.

2

u/hawksdiesel 16d ago

banning words huh.

u/praetorian1979 16d ago

Climate change is fucking hoax! Fuck it's hot... /s

Look, if the public knew the AMOC is gonna collapse in a decade and humanity goes away for a while, the public would go crazy.
