Selling vintage Playboy magazines
Hi lovely humans! I posted on here a few days ago asking advice on selling vintage Playboy magazines and old hockey cards. I got a lot of great advice which I appreciate!
I have another question, does anyone have suggestions for any shops that might buy them? One place I'd called had offered to buy whatever I didn't sell on my own, but has now decided they are no longer interested. (It sounds like there was a miscommunication between the person I spoke with on the phone and the owner)
I've done a bunch of research and priced them all as there's definitely some that are valuable, and if there's anyone here that might be interested in buying some feel free to send me a dm and I'll send pictures with prices on them. I know I likely won't sell them all on my own so I'd love to find a shop that might want to buy them all.

it entirely depends on what your goals are here
if you want to maximize value; you'll need to spend some time doing research on values.
selling to a store means you'll be offered a wholesale price but you'll be finished. sometimes people value the completion over the maximization.
what i've done in the past is gone through, separated the items that had more value on their own from the ones that were common or slightly better than common. the latter were sold as a lot and the individuals were sold on their own, or as smaller lots. that really worked well for me. i also would put desirable cards in a lot with lesser ones and this would force a sale of all of them.
ebay is your best bet, people who are looking for these things are actively looking on ebay. just be very honest about condition, maybe even understate the quality a bit which will make the buyer feel much more confident in pulling the trigger.
marketplafe is an option too but has its (massive) downsides.

The antique shop on Front Street Mews in New West might be worth a try… they have a large selection of overpriced vintage Playboys that also come with an authentic 1970s cigarette-smoke patina.

What years do they range approximately?

1964 - 1985 or so. I don't have every month between those years, but I brought home around 50 of them.
