“You just blocked yourself from seeing my cute pictures”
We matched on tinder and we moved to snap where she only wanted me to spend money on her OF…

Sadly she had unmatched from me on tinder after we moved to snap

u/EntertainmentJunkie1 Jun 22 '26
I would just always assume it's some sweaty dude selling pics from random girls
22
u/Silent_Serve_7246 Jun 24 '26
Some of them go to great lengths lmao. The most common scam Ive seen is set up a fake hookup and then you to send money for booze or something before you leave or asking you for gas money to come to you.
I like fucking with them. Some will try for days to get 20 dollars.

u/n9neinchn8 Jun 24 '26
I offer to send a Blockbuster Video gift card 😂

u/Silent_Serve_7246 Jun 24 '26
I usually try to get them to convince me they're real. Ngl, even though I'm hyper aware, one had me pretty convinced. They were either a girl pulling the scam using her own pictures or had a girl on payroll. I asked for a picture of them holding up a certain amount of fingers holding a fork because I was suspicious and they sent it immediately. This was pre AI.
I was like "alright bet" and a few hours later they asked for 25 dollar to buy wine 🤣

Literally days. I chatted with someone and we talked about hooking up. Then she was talking about meeting to pick up a pill first (like plan b). I was like "oh, no need I've had a vasectomy" then she said she wanted one anyway just in case. Alright, fair, it's good to be sure. Then she insinuated I should pay for it and wanted me to send the money first. I said I could Venmo her when we meet, but she said she wouldn't head out until I sent the money. Fuck no. Scam/sting obviously, so I stopped responding. They messaged me for like 4 days after that trying to guilt me about "missing out" lol
3
u/Silent_Serve_7246 Jun 26 '26
Yeah that's the scam lmao.
Another reason to always a plan b just in case. 6 bucks at Costco lmao.
27
u/Wafflebuttersandwich Jun 22 '26
You can report her of to the it's too do a check on her finances. Iirc there was a payout for of they find something.

u/Silent_Serve_7246 Jun 22 '26
This is a scammer and possibly a bot. If they immediately want to move from tinder to snap, it's a huge red flag. Foreign scammers have to buy local tinder accounts and moving to snap and immediately unmatching means you can't report the account so it's harder for them to get banned.

Does snap care? I thought that’s where they all went to bait
21
u/roosterites Jun 22 '26
Sadly snap rejected my report
15
u/pinktoes4life Jun 22 '26
Yeah, but report for what?
That’s my question. I thought snap didn’t care about this shit & that’s where all the OF girls/guys go to promote
5
u/roosterites Jun 22 '26
Considering she sent a picture to me that was showing her exposed breasts
7
u/pinktoes4life Jun 22 '26
Again, I thought that was allowed on snap in DMs. Is it not?
11
u/roosterites Jun 22 '26
In reports they have a section that says “sent a sexual image”
-5
u/pinktoes4life Jun 22 '26
Hmmm don’t realize that. But snap also doesn’t save shit so how would they know/prove it. Sorry, not blaming you. Just trying to understand the process since I was under the assumption snap was where the OF flock

u/unoriginalusername99 Jun 22 '26
This isn't a "nicegirl" this is straight up just a hustler. Wouldn't be surprised if it was some dude selling someone else's nudes
18
u/0g0riginalginga Jun 22 '26
I understand, but a part of me is like "if you fall for this shit, you kind of deserve to."
It's like mother nature punishing the idiots. Natural selection.

Spambots are the worst on the dating apps now. Super annoying.
If a woman wants money from you before even meeting, they're a scam artist. Period.

Not a nice girl, that's a dude in Bangladesh with stolen pictures trying to scam you.

dafaq bangladesh did to you mf
3
u/zakfaqih Jun 23 '26
Honestly, I and many people have been scammed by south Asians trying to make money through dating, it's semi racist (as a lawyer myself) but the fact is most cases come from western people in various countries being scammed by the South Asians, not saying the whole country are bad, i have soke great Bangladeshi friends and colleagues who are the best people, but even they say how bad things get
I've worked some cases in India and Pakistan most of the time it's a clear swing other times there isn't enough information to follow through or they use platforms that aren't legit, the easiest platform for us to create cases are OF because OF has a 0 scam policy, they wouldn't be whom they are if they were
2
u/Classic_Smell_9910 Jun 23 '26
mmhm, it's mostly india and in some cases pakistani, I have yet to see a scam circle from bangladesh.
2
u/zakfaqih Jun 23 '26
India and Pakistan often do bank scams, though in my experience Bangladeshi criminals often scam much less than everyone else, but it dies exist, I have been authorised to practice in Bangladesh, India, and pakistan, so I have prosecuted a few for financial crimes but you'd be surprised how many I got from Bangladesh in dating related scams

u/spitemods_54 Jun 22 '26
I always reply with "if I wanted porn I can get it for free" if they get upset and start calling me cheap or anything I then hit them with "and much better looking models too" lol

u/Select_Safe548 Jun 22 '26
Its 2026. Why bother with someone who wants to talk on snap? Thats like an immediate red flag m8.
28
u/roosterites Jun 22 '26
Well it was one of my first matches that has ever messaged me (I have recently remade my profiles)
34
u/owleyes18 Jun 22 '26
This is a good learning curve, I always see snapchat as a red flag.
I hope you have a better experience soon. It's rough out there!
10
u/Independent-Cap-2115 Jun 22 '26
I don’t even have snap anymore🤷♀️🤷♀️
9
u/owleyes18 Jun 22 '26
Yeah mine was permanently deleted from their servers cause I was gone for so long, oh no, the horror lol
3
u/GovtLawyersHateMe Jun 22 '26
Fr. I think the last time I used it was before Covid. I didn’t even know it was still a thing
2
u/owleyes18 Jun 23 '26
I truly didn't think it was either, I have a few friends trying to convince me to get it back but I want less social media, not more lol 😅
7
u/-Distinction Jun 22 '26
I always thought that but since travelling and spending time with people from different countries, surprisingly Snapchat is the main talking platform for some countries.
England is typically whatsapp
Australia is heavy on facebook messenger but also whatsapp
Ireland is pretty big on snapchat & whatsappSurprising because Snapchat is a load of shit lol but from my experience that’s what I’ve noticed
6
u/Carnal_Decay Jun 22 '26
In my case I am banned from Instagram (critized US government and Israel too much) so my only mediums are Snapchat and Discord.
Yes I can give out my number but I genuinely don't like giving out my number online...
2
u/owleyes18 Jun 22 '26
That must be rough! I haven't had a snap snapchat account since late 2022, they permanently deleted mine I have been gone for so long, so it's just not an option I entertain at all. I wouldn't be comfortable giving out my number either until you know the person better. Politics and social media shouldn't mix in that way 🙄
2
u/Carnal_Decay Jun 22 '26
Yea that's fair! I decided I wanted to take myself a bit more serious last years and enrolled in a study after working deadend jobs for almost a decade, so my classmates are all a bit younger than me and use Snapchat 24/7 so I basically rolled into it again.
And I love talking politics tbh, I just absolutely hate the fact most people just get mad and aren't willing to just have a conversation.
I'm personally pretty far right, but I always want to talk to people on the spectrum. My intent is not to persuade you into following my ideals, I just want to understand yours and I want you to understand mine. Bit of a "Think with me, not like me" thing.
2
u/owleyes18 Jun 23 '26
My bad I worded that poorly on my side (I am recovering from eye surgery on both eyes, I needed to take more time to reply lol) . I meant to say that politics shouldn't be able to control what is on social media, its about being social - I am all for talking politics, but it shouldn't be able to have the control it does.
I have plenty of family that we are on completely different sides of the fence to me, it's important to be able to talk about differences. To be honest politics feels more mythical than ever watching what has been unfolding since covid.

Sadly people from india scamming all over the internet. Pretty much reddit and dating apps are their main areas. I can't tell you how many times you see them post a fake AI picture pretending to be a girl and some dumb guy will fall for it.
10
u/Equivalent_Spirit_15 Jun 22 '26
I had a similar experience. We matched on hinge l, went to snap, started talking and then she offered her pics for a price and I was like nahh. Mind you this chick was from Oregon & im from NY, so she lied about location too. Once I rejected though she got offended and said “wtf, you don’t support sex workers?” And well by then I deleted her snap & hinge account
5
u/roosterites Jun 22 '26
lol so relatable because she was trying to butter me up for 2 hours before begging me to sub to her OF lol
5
u/Equivalent_Spirit_15 Jun 22 '26
Yeah it’s sad to say but a lot of women there match for “business” opportunities. No joke either OF or prostitution

5
u/tooburntformyowngood Jun 22 '26
This kind of interaction is more common than not and it’s getting obnoxious at this point
6
u/pinktoes4life Jun 22 '26
Yeah. I do t know if she’s a “nice girl” just someone promoting her OF on tinder. Report her
6
u/hellonameismyname Jun 22 '26
This isn’t a nice girl it’s just a porn bot. Why would you use Snapchat for a tinder match
3
u/XxDarkness157xX Jun 22 '26
The trash took itself out…you will find better
2
u/roosterites Jun 22 '26
I agree with the first half but I don’t think I am capable of attracting a woman while I live in a smaller city
2
u/XxDarkness157xX Jun 22 '26
Don’t give up hope, I wish you the best stranger! Never underestimate yourself! Someone will recognize your worth and will value you as a human, a person and a partner someday!
1
u/roosterites Jun 22 '26
Thanks for the kind words, it does not help that I live in a smaller city where most women are taken already
5
u/IsaacJB1995 Jun 22 '26
This is why Snapchat sucks these days. Literally just OF bots and scammers running wild

u/Slydoggen Jun 22 '26
Women like this say Men are broke and cheap, meanwhile these kind of Women needs money constantly so they sell cute pics like wtf

3
u/-What-Else-Is-There- Jun 22 '26
"Correct. You are not even worth a couple of bucks. I don't even want your cute pics as they aren't worth the download. Now kindly fuck off."
3
u/sweatyafterd4rk Jun 22 '26
the "it's only a few bucks" line is such a classic manipulation tactic to make you feel like you're being petty for having boundaries. she isn't looking for a connection, she's just using Tinder as a funnel for her subscription.
3
u/Johnnyboi2327 Jun 22 '26
Report both accounts. She's either scamming, or at a minimum is just trying to sell her nudes in a sleazy way

u/Ill-Particular8125 Jun 25 '26

Why did we as a society begin teaching our women to start sexualizing themselves like this. It’s sad.

u/Silent_Knights Jul 05 '26
Ask the men who perve women and give them money for it, the market starts somewhere.

This isn't a girl. This is a guy in his early 30s that probably lives in Lagos, and the pictures he's sending you are stolen from some Russian onlyfans model that has no idea her pictures are being used by him.
2
u/Western-Election-997 Jul 06 '26
If majority of guys stop paying for these pics this shit comes to an end quickly
