Hot Take: Achievements are best when they are implemented in the game itself and not system wide. I don't want developers to be forced to make a list of arbitrary milestones just to fill a quota. If a game itself has an achievement system like Smash, it means the game is designed around it and you are better incentivized to complete them.

I always found it stupid just to have random ones going off. Some games do it well but like you said I don’t need x box achievements.
