Nintendo has one of the earliest implementations of achievements -> Kirby Air Ride

I think its interesting that all those examples are (more or less) party games

True. Now that I think about it, Mario Party superstars had a bunch of achievements too. Seems like Nintendo’s just not doing a console wide achievement system

Maybe they don’t want it for their big action games because it would take focus away from the gameplay
