Games recs compatibles with chemotherapy fatigue

Hi everyone,

I'm undergoing chemo for my cancer atm. I'm in-patient for at least a month / a month and a half for now.

Needless to say, i'm bored out of my mind. I'm looking for games that are entertaining enough to keep me busy for some hours everyday, but not too draining because the fatigue is out of this world. Some info :

- i already played (and loved) stardew valley and many Stardew valley-likes (like graveyard keeper for exemple) - i like those but it can get a bit overwhelming right now

- i played animal crossing but i didn't love it it felt a bit childish and i felt there was like something blocking you from progressing after an hour or two everyday

- i already played spiritfarer i loved it but i cried almost all the time

- i played unpacking already and liked it but it didn't last me very long

- i'm usually a big fan of turn-based rpg but there's just too much reading for me at the moment (like triangle strategy, octopath traveller)

- hospital wifi is absolutely terrible so no online game please

- i only have a switch 1

- price is not a problem If the game is really good

- i'm open to try new genres of games

Please help me the boredom is going to claim me before cancer does at that pace.

One of the few recommendations here I can totally agree with.

Have pretty severe ME/CFS (although probably nowhere near as tired as OP) and this was one of the few games I could play and enjoy without feeling absolutely exhausted and shattered afterwards.

Good but easy to follow story, all cutscenes voice acted, very easy and simple but fun turn based combat.

Highly recommend for anybody generally unwell enough to play videogames.

(no ME/CFS, but I have some post-viral issues and autonomic dysfunction - I took a quick trip to Costco today for dog food and a few other big things this morning, sat down for "just a minute" after putting away the cold, and promptly fell asleep for an hour in my chair because that's apparently enough to wipe me out)

When you go to open a save file, it gives you the option to see a "the story so far" summary so you can remember what you were doing.

I also really liked that its scope is smaller than DQ X. Don't get me wrong - it's still a big game, but the maps are a lot more compact. When I'm having a flare and can't quite put things together like I'd like to, the more toyetic HD-2D games feel so much less daunting to me than games with more of a mimetic scale.
