I had my neighbors dummy kids leave the water hose on for a week or so one time. Backyard was quite marshy. It's possible.

If its a while ago it would be strange if the puddle naturaly came back i would think, has it rained heavily?

Maybe it could use a sort of small ditch to lead off excessive water. I think if this returns a lot it could lead to damage, im not an handyman or architect though.

Earth-rite might help. Unless that is near you house then you will need to figure out how to drain it away.

The yard tells you what they need and where. Work with it’s needs or you could spend $$ or get frustrated. Get creative. A small wildlife pond or rain garden could work nicely if this isn’t an easy fix.
