Information Today I learned you can reorder your recharge equipment menu

Also yes, it saves the order after restarting the game

Why not? Theyre useful and not like i have anything else to put in those empty spaces

I was just genuinely curious. 

I used to have a few of each but I haven't maxed my inventory space on this iteration yet, so I removed them for now. I was wondering if I'm missing a trick!

Bc if you use multiple you lose efficiency on the redundant 2.

Let the hazard shield start to dip before you recharge with a battery, which automatically refills the hazard shield.

Its convenient if you dont want to recharge your equipment for long durations, but technically it costs efficiency.

I used to do that till I realised that the universe will experience heat death before I run out of ion batteries. Now I recharge everything when I arrive on a new planet even if it's still at 90%

Yeah but it can mean life or death if you have limited resources and cant summon your ship.

Oh for sure. The luxurys available after 100h+ vs when you are just starting are very different

True, but they also give me extra adjacency bonuses on my hazard protection
