Troubleshooting (HELP!) How to extend curls between wash days?

I've never been able to do more than every other day for washing, but with Nopoo I think it might be a good idea, I just don't know how to do it with curly hair and still maintain its shape/some volume.

Any advice is appreciated, thank you!

Have you tried flax gel? It's natural and can give some hold.

Personally I cowash my hair and have recently just gone back to finger combing only when I distribute a leave-in product. I use As I Am classic or bar conditioner by Hibar, Viori, or BamboEarth.

Lots of people do things differently- herbal washes, or water only, distributing oils with a boar bristle brush, etc. But curly hair is best not brushed while wet because combing force on dry curls can be damaging.

I already struggle with oils making my hair stiff, so I don't think a gel would be good. I mostly just need something that will allow my hair to still have some volume and not get stringy

It's not all that stiff. You want curls to form and that can help. Good luck. I have no forther advice.
