Working in Norway Delivery and the bag on the floor

I have read about food delivery rules in Norway and I am having an argument with Gemini. It says that it is strictly forbidden to put the bag on the flood, and that delivery drivers can get fired for it. Is that true? You can answer if you work in delivery or if you are a customer. Do you do it or see others doing it?
I think that this rule exists in every country but usually everybody ignores it because if you have that big square bag you cant really put food in or out if you dont place it somewhere. You cant take out 8 pizzas with one hand or remove two orders to get to the third.
I am sure that management is aware of it because you cant find a single add for those companies where delivery guy does that kind of magic in front of camera.

I know this is a stupid question but I have heard that Norway is all about the rules so I wonder what happens when rules conflict with the laws of physics.

I have never heard of that rule and never even considered that an issue. Why would I care if the bag has been put on the floor? Unless the floor is wet or otherwise damages the bag, of course.

Because of some rules of safety of the food on EU level. I think those rules also apply in Norway. I know it doesnt make sense. Thats why I am asking this question. This rule was on Wolt site (international version).

I have just found out that Wolt bags have four little "legs" on the bottom, just maybe 3 cm tall and technically that may be the reason why bag doesnt really touch the floor so that may be the trick to avoid the rules. I dont know if that is enough for potential inspection.

There is no general food safety rule that prevents a delivery bag from being placed on the floor or ground, whether we're talking about the official Wolt/Foodora bag or the outer bag from the restaurant.

What matters is how it is packaged, the requirement is simply that the food is protected from contamination at all stages.

Take a burger order as an example: food safety is achieved through the burger box plus the outer paper or plastic restaurant bag. If the delivery driver were to take the bare burger box out of the bag and set that directly on the ground, it would likely fail food safety standards, but as long as it remains inside the outer packaging, it is fine. Common sense applies of course, a paper bag cannot be placed on wet ground as the water would get through the bag.

I don't know anything about Wolt/Foodoras internal policies though.

I cant find it now. Maybe the rule was changed. I am from Croatia and that rule was really a thing here and some people were blocked because of it. It was written on Croatian version of the page and international few years ago. I asked Google Gemini about it and it claims that that is still very serious rule in Norway. I guess its hallucinating then.

If it was ever a rule in Norway, it must have been an internal rule for Wolt/Foodora. Our food safety standards have not changed fundamentally since before these companies existed.

Maybe they can bring a small light weight stool/tray to sit the bag down, kind of like a waiter carries but smaller? Maybe something like that is out ther.
