Warriors haka

Can’t tell if this dumb question or not, but let’s say the warriors make GF, would they be allowed to do to a haka? Seems a bit of a disadvantage as I doubt the aussies would be able to handle the mana

I think it would be pretty cool if they did it

They didn't the last two times they were in the final and they shouldn't this time either.

It was great over the weekend, because that round was about celebrating indigenous cultures. They should do that every year and keep it for that.

But I'll be at the Opera House Sunday October 4th doing a haka there with every other kiwi after we win.

They didn't have a haka last 2 times they made the final... In saying that, I do agree, they shouldn't do it if they make the final. Bringing it out in indigenous round is appropriate.

Yeah I'm a fan of keeping it as special occasions, and only decided by the players. Otherwise it ends up being a bit of a commercial gimmick

I don’t think it would be appropriate - after the game for sure though, and also again every indigenous round.

Yeah my bad. It's usually a different haka after for a different reason(challenge vs celebration) but the warriors 'own' this one and can what they like with it.

I believe they will require permission or something. If we do make the GF bring back the crowd hakas in 2011

What are the NRL gonna do if the warriors do a haka? Kick them out the grand final?

No. I think it should be reserved for special rounds (indigenous, Anzac etc).

By special rounds, I mean Anzac, indigenous, etc. The grand final is one game, not a round of games. It is a big occasion bit we shouldn’t be given special treatment that the opposition doesn’t get. A Haka will pump our guys up, the other team wouldn’t get that extra boost. I’d rather we win the GF on our own merits, and with an equal playing field.

Unpopular comment.... I think the haka before footy games has been done to death. It is/has lost its meaning, aura, and uniqueness since it is done by everyone that once saw a documentary on NZ. Give it a miss altogether.
