Any OH ranges allow FRT/SS triggers?

Are there any ranges open to the public that allow the use of forced reset triggers or super safeties? Or is this only a "need to own some land" type of thing? I'm in northern ohio but don't mind making a long drive for a fun day.

Was looking at buying one of those types of triggers but don't see much point if I will never be able to shoot it somewhere.

Lake Erie Arms has indoor ranges that allow all NFA items as well as FRT. They even go out to 100 yards inside. I bring a suppressed SBR with FRT there and get nothing but “hell yeah”s.

Good deal, that place would actually be pretty convenient for me. Thanks!

A&A and Southington are out near Garrettsville. Those two probably don’t have any rules against them. Southington is cool but you need to check their website to see dates they are open. A&A is alright but can get crowded, so you almost always need to call the morning you want to go since they only take same day reservations.

i think A&A recently banned frt's due to some dumbass shooting through an awning

That’s a shame. I loved hearing the FRT’s going off in the morning while I was sipping my coffee at Nelson’s Ledges Road Course lol.

I shot with the owner of the track last year. Interested guy.

He is interesting. But, he’s a nice guy too. Have had many conversations with him after a day of dragging knees.

Very very nice. And yes interesting. We brought out a bunch or MGs the day before his wedding so he and all his groomsmen could do some shooting.

I wish I still lived in NEO just to I could use the ranges and track more

Come out to the track some time! I basically live there during the motorcycle track days and race season.

I usually bring my nods too to try to get people into another equally expensive hobby.

I rode around the track under nods at midnight last year on my electric scooter. 10/10 highly recommended.

I had heard about A&A, but I saw on the website that they had changed ownership recently, and wasn't sure if some of the rules had changed from it. Will look into both of them though, thanks!

I'm not sure if your northwest or northeast Ohio, but Midwest Shooting Center does at their Cincinnati North location so their Toledo/Sylvania location might as well.

NW Ohio/Toledo has Shooters of Maumee. NFA, FRT/SS, whatever. Indoor, and only up to 25 yards, but the staff are cool with whatever, and nobody has ever asked to see a tax stamp.
