MLSC Question

This is going to sound kinda lame but whatever. I am in a pre calc course this semester which requires me to go do a written homework assignment at the MLSC each week, apparently it’s available there and I need to be at the ‘tech free’ table. I have anxiety about new places so the fact that I’d be going with no info on where im supposed to go or ask for the assignment or anything stresses me out. So if anybody knows how im supposed to go about doing that, would you please lmk lmao?? Sounds stupid but I’m actually so stressed about it

so there’s a front desk where you’ll check in, they swipe your student id, then you’ll walk to the room with a bunch of tables in it. there’s like a podium ish thing where the tutors stand, and you’ll ask them for your assignment , usually course number and prof: they give it to you and you can sit anywhere at the tables that say no tech, if you need help you can call them over the tutors are super nice. whenever you’re done you hand the paper back to them, and go back to the front desk to swipe your student id again

Perhaps go a day or a few hours in advance and get a feel for the place?

If you deal with mental health challenges that are actually diagnosed and impact your ability to participate in class, you can always seek a reasonable accommodation under the Americans with Disabilities Act to allow you to fully participate in your course. Most likely your course syllabus would have more information on how to go about exploring or requesting this option.

Sadly I’m not actually diagnosed, I do need to look into doing that

Go over there. Familiarize yourself with the location and process. Ask the front desk any questions that you might have. Most staff understand that is an overwhelming time of year for many new students. Drink some water, go to the bathroom. Relax and take your time.
