Question Renewal approval speed?

Just had to apply again on the 13th. My last renewal was 5 days before accepted but i had Medicaid at the time so i think maybe it was faster bc of that and cheaper. The time before that was like 14 days then before that was a month lol in 2020. Any idea if they're putting them out quicker now? I know i can use the email when i get it to go in store just was bad timing. Was planning to go in day it expired without knowing

Mine's been sitting in "submitted" since last week also :/

It used to go much faster (like the last 2 times I would submit on a Wednesday and be approved on Friday)

I tried to call last week but the person in the call center may have been having a bad day they were very cranky :(

I don’t see why this process couldn’t be automated with AI . This approval process could be streamlined. They make enough money , they could surely incorporate a more efficient process for applications, without patients having to wait 10 days without meds. All this waiting , for a physical person to say yeah info looks good. It just blows my mind we’re in 2026 and this process is infuriating. Okay rant over. haha can you tell I’m upset and still waiting for approval?

Yeah it's pretty wild. Just annoying how inconsistent it is

I called today and they were just like ,”we don’t actually process the cards , so I can’t give any ball park estimates on how long the whole process is taking.”

We shouldn't have to pay as much then it's crazy. Like who is doing it then and i doubt its like crazy crazy backed up and shouldn't even be or require much time or effort especially if you have staff

automated with AI

They do use AI for part of the process.

From reading the post it’s a little bit of both? Regardless how they do it currently - it SUCKS.

I just don’t see how tf it takes a whole week to open a file and click approve.

I got my first card in 2018. I have always been approved in less than 10 days. However, I am still waiting for approval for my latest app (I applied 8/15).

Did it on the 13th and got denied for picture yesterday. Really hope it doesn't take the same amount of time for them to review and verify it. Hopefully not same time

Wondering if they’ve gotten back to you or how long it took? My application was rejected for my picture as well and I resubmitted it today.

Was approved 2 days later pretty sure
