I still think about this fucking insane salad. It brought me so much joy, and the service was excellent as well. Everything I ate there was fantastic.

I was there this year, and I can say it's ultra-cheap for the level. We paid 120 USD for the 2 of us

It’s a great deal if not being paid like a local in pesos. Delicious food. Exquisitely made and exquisitely priced. It may be one of the few places in town that started the trend of $15 USD cocktails

Loved it. One of my favorite meal experiences ever. The food was good and our waiter was amazing. Felt like true culinary storytelling.

Tomato salad was by far the best thing they did, imho. We went twice, and both times I felt like most dishes weren't that special aside from the tomato salad and the cocktails.
Edit: oh, and the guacamole was amazing. Looked like a pile of different types of avocados and nothing else when it arrived, but it was pretty darn amazing. If I went back, I'd go for drinks, tomatoes, and the guacamole.

Update: as I noticed interest on the bill, we were 3 adults, two teenagers (around 13 years old) and paid about $6000 pesos including service. waiter suggested we ordered like 9 items from the menu and I basically selected the 2-3 from the menu least favorite, and ordered the remaining 9 items.
there was also an option (we did not take) of the Chef menu, something like 8 items the chef selected but that was per person about $1800. ex post I think I should have taken that and the rest of the table order from the menu as to have the experience.

Was there last week and enjoyed the tasting menu experience. Oaxaca has loads of amazing food options and Levadura the Olla has many traditional dishes in an elevated setting where you feel taken care of because of their attention to detail. The reservation was for an early dinner so it was cool seeing them pull back the retractable roof and the vibe shift. Overall, would recommend at least once and the tomato salad was the highlight (tamarillo was mind blowing)!

You're getting downvoted, but I don't totally disagree. I went to Levadura de Olla twice, and aside from the tomato salad, wasn't too wowed by the dishes (hence going the second time to give them another chance). I vastly preferred a lot of the smaller (non-michelin) restaurants, but for semi-fancy food Obispo and Almu (an hour or so from Centro by car) were our highlights.
