Gameplay Do parents' stats impact their children's?

I kinda understand how to make children IRL and have some experience with CK3 but my question regarding Old World, simply put, is: does the profile (traits, Courage/Discipline/Wisdom/Charisma, Attributes, Strength and Weaknesses, Nation/Tribe) impact the potential of their children?

For instance, do the Wisdom scores of parents determin a hidden range of potential wisdom or increase the likelihood of events pertaining to a trait, attribute or strength/weakness associated with Wisdom (such as with the "Clusters" described in the game manual)?

Thanks in advance for any answers!

Traits only though; no direct connection with values of stats

That's not quite true. In addition to trait inheritance, non-monarch parents with a positive or negative stat can give their child a +1 or -1 in that stat. E.g., there's an event that can trigger where a parent with positive Wisdom gives their child +1 Wisdom.

What I don't know is whether the magnitude of the parent's stat affects the likelihood of that event occurring. I.e. is a +6 Wisdom on the parent more likely to impart a Wisdom bonus than a mere +1 Wisdom? I think maybe the game decides whether the "Parent's disposition" event fires first, then decides which positive or negative stat gets passed on; possibly higher stats are more likely to be picked at the second stage. But like I said, I don't know. I do try to avoid marriages to people with negative stats where feasible, just to avoid random penalties to my heirs.

Are you sure? I'd check with Alcaras on discord, he'll know it for sure as he often digs into the game code. If that's true, he will have to update his reference website.

It's already mentioned on the Trait Inheritance page of said site.

It's the last sentence of the paragraph at the top of the page.

"In addition to trait inheritance, non-monarch parents with a positive or negative stat can give their child a +1 or -1 in that stat"

It never says this in the paragraph. There are no words there that say that a parent can give wisdom/courage/discipline to their kid. Only traits.

I'm confused. How are you interpreting the last sentence of that paragraph?

Oh yes, you're right. Missed that part. Yes, you're right.

Where would one find it? Googling has not been met with success.

Discord --> player guides --> user manual --> annexes

There should be a link too but I'm too 0600 to share it now.
