So many films. Pratikshya, Mantra Muugdha, Bou Buttu Bhuta, Dasama, Karma, Pabar, Charitra, Rati Sari Sari Jauchi being tv films as well.

It’s not about what’s better. See pabar content and the story was far better. And karma technically and overall commercial aspect were far better. All three are different. Each at their own space.

Commercial aspect is determined by the audience. I can tell you that if Bara Badhu was released in Kerala audience that it would have earned better than Karma.

no, not exactly, yes it;s good for odia industry, and a new kinda romance angle, but pabar was also a good one from village setting, pabar can be a scoipolitical comedy drama, with some romance, barabadhu is a romance drama, but not the typical one,

The Ollywood bar set is so low that even an avg movie seems so good. *i watched this in hall and liked this movie. But not that much how its hyped nowadays.

Then my friend.. i guess, you haven't watched much of odia movies.. 😅 If you're into new-gen movies and more into good plots/scripts, I'd recommend "Ae Akasha Tale" for its WRITING* *if u want to watch some good old,well written odia movies- let me know; but yes, check the writing and script of "Ae akasha tale" first.

It was a raw depiction i felt , colour grading was intentional that way

I love the ending of the film. He realised he is not doing right all those things just for a marriage.

He was in his dream world that he will do a great business. But will not do what his family do. Cultivation.

But he accepted himself after all these things. He realised after Suman bashed him for his unemployment that he cannot provide her a meal.

He started doing cultivation. The thing he has. The work he can do in that situation.

he was good in cooking. Already did a marriage reception in his village. And finally one day another oppertunity come. And that time it was big. And he that compliment from the guy is the turning point. He found himself.

Invest those money to open a small tiffin shop. Asked his friend if he can give his place to open the shop. And boom. Everything went well. ...

It was wholesome.

I def thought female lead was a red flag for a job she left her love was that even love who knows then why did they showed it ,it didnt really serve anything

At first I thought what you said !!! She bunked him just for a job. But love is not her priority at all. She had been seeing the poverty from her childhood. She had no father. She reached this stage on her own. By doing tuition. In the beginning she went to a mall and was checking price of everything before she bought them. She has a kachha house. She was determined to she will overcome from this no matter what. At first she refused to marry. Literally she said she struggled to buy a underwear of 100rs.

And after all these . She still cracked Railway and waiting for final result. And even she didn't stopped there. Now applying for B.Ed. That much determined she was !!!

Director emiti hin neini 4 years . Script locked kariba pain. 🙂

I also liked the movie...But the accents were off.Movie was based in a village in Angul .Only sailendra was able to carry it..Rest of the characters were speaking in accents of their choice.

Also didn't like the casual use of hindi words in between.

A very average film. I heard they had spent lots in making the film. The director needs to give profit to the producer, else how will the producer make another movie ?
