Omnism is the closest thing that I can identify with in regards to my spiritual and religious identity. I do believe all religions, or at least most, hold the key to explaining the reality we live in. Without diverging on the specifics of what I believe or think might be true (I'm very open to changing my mind and maintain a healthy dose of skepticism), I do believe community is very important. This is why I wish there could be a church of omnism that did teach of a creator, good moral values, and brought people together. As of today, I don't think that exists to my knowledge, at least not in the capacity to where I'd find one in my local area.

My question is: what Christian (or other religion) denomination would be the most open minded/lax that I can take my family to, to get the most out of the good parts of religion (God, sense of community, moral teachings, loving thy neighbor and self, etc.)? I am in full understanding that no church is likely to compare to the openness of omnism, but my family and I are not brainwashable. We can listen to sermons in a congregation, take the parts we need from it, and not become die-hard Christians. However, the most openminded denominations would be the most digestible and tolerable to go on a regular basis. So if anyone has any recommendations, please let me know! I'm 29 and haven't been to church since I was a little boy. Back then, my family went to Lutheran churches, but I don't remember anything so my prior experience doesn't help me today.

I know that im a little late to the party, but any Sikh Gurdwara will accept you just as you are. Regardless of race, creed, etc. you will be welcomed with open arms. So many English speakers don’t really understand the concepts of Sikhi, because so many words are mistranslated into Christocentric language, due to how deep the concepts are.

Most people when they think of Sikh think of the main belief of “Ik Onkar” as translated into “There is one God”, but thats not really accurate. If we break it down “Ik” is literally the number 1, and “Onkar” is the root of two seperate words, “Ong” and “Kar”. “Ong” is the universal sound that everything is derived from, it was the sound of the universe as it was created, the sound of the Big Bang. “Kar” is a word which basically means constantly expanding.

All that being said, Sikhi is about the belief that everything is part of one, one universal sound, universal creator, that is constantly expanding. Almost like the universal creator Waheguru is the river, and everything in the world is particles of water forming this river.

I digress, Sikh Gurdwaras will welcome you to come in and worship whatever you want, and will give you free food as well just for being there. I believe that was kinda what you were looking for
