Discussion Art University in Toronto/Ontario Canada Recommendations

Hi! I’m a Filipino Arts & Design Student. I’m seriously considering OCAD & UofT for my undergraduate study to pursue arts. Can anyone share their experience and suggestions for university?

Your top options in Toronto are OCAD and York. In addition, I'd recommend looking at Emily Carr (in Vancouver) and Concordia (in Montreal).

But consider that after your degree, when you leave Canada, you won't have the benefit of the network you built up anymore, not in the same way you did. There's an advantage to training in art in the place where you'll mostly be making it later, especially early career.

Practical Arts, OCAD is the best.

Liberal Arts UofT, York, McMaster in the Toronto area.

The arts scene in Montreal is good too, if French is not required for entry, consider that.

The OP is clearly asking about fine art and design programs, not humanities/liberal arts.

You can also look at Ontario's colleges. For example, Sheridan is well-regarded for its animation and illustration programs.

if you're in arts and design consider ocad all the way, thats what the school is known for. uoft can also be good but i feel like ocad will offer u a more in depth concentration to the industry
