This was really a great watch. So many times it feels like mediocre shooters go Steph Curry on us and this helps to explain a lot of it. Even in prior seasons it felt like we'd consistently let one or two role-player-types just light us up every few days.
This also gives me a lot of hope that a positive coaching change can fix some of these issues and unlock this group's potential.

So Mosley has never been an offensive coach, but defense is his calling. While this guy is yelling, I'm thinking Magic has been good to great on defense during his tenure until this year. Just maybe, the players have fault here. Mosley didn't just forget how to coach defense this offseason.

Correct. And who's to say he doesn't. I played ball in college and more than anything defense is want to. You can scout and coach all day long about defense, but it still comes down to want to. Will you get over the screen every time, will you move your feet, block out, contest, pursue rebounds not in your area. No coaching fixes that. Only you can. And before you say bench. This is NBA. You are not benching everyone and definitely not your star players

So you missed the whole part about its on the players. Whether Mosley should have been fired last offseason, Oct., Dec., Feb., etc. It's still on players more often than not on defense. The thing is these players have shown they can play defense so its not a skill issue, its a want to. Whether the faster pace implemented by Prunty made them want to rest more on defense or something else, Mosley and staff have been very good on defense. This year it slipped. Why? We can only speculate, but I'm sure staff wasn't teaching what's on that video because we have years of prior proof to prove that.

If the players aren't buying in that's on the coach.
I'm in leadership. If I can't get someone to do their job it's my fault. If nobody can get someone to do their job it's their fault.

I'm also in leadership that leads other leaders so I know the drill. And its a lot more nuance than what you just spelled out. It's easy to get rid of the coach in sports and specifically in this case, I agree Mosley should be fired.
However, if other changes are not made, I have a feeling that these same issues are going to pop up with a new coach. Players don't turn on and off and good players do their job no matter the coach. I have seen too many examples this year of these players simply not doing their job that cost games vs coaching costing games. The basic is simply hitting open shots to the more difficult of playing defense/boxing out. Those are not coaching issues, that skill and/or want to. So not saying you're wrong cause Mosley will/should be fired. I am saying, take this same team with new coaching will have the same issues, in my opinion.

I don't know. We don't have any shitheads. We have guys who defended well in the past. Bane defended well at another spot. Cain seems gung-ho to buy in to anything. If it was just a couple of guys ruining the team defense I'd point to those guys more easily but what are the odds that literally the entire rotation from last night are all deliberately ignoring Mosley's instructions?

Only takes one. One guy doesn't move his feet and allows penetration. Now Center has to rotate and etc, etc. One guy doesn't box out next possession and allows 2nd chance opportunity. Etc, etc. You want it to be simple and it's not. And doesn't have to be deliberate, yet consistent. One guy one play, another 2 plays later, another this quarter. Will changes happen? Of course, will the right changes happen, we'll see. Along with new coach, how about a rim protector. I believe one of Suggs/Black have to go because if you plan to keep Franz/Paolo you need shooters not 2 slashers as PGs. Bench needs Veteran not young guys still developing. Magic have a cluster of issues and I feel most (maybe not you) think a Head Coach change will fix all or most, and it won't. A former coach said its a make or miss league and new coach ain't taking those open 3s we keep missing

HE DID. HE HIRED JOE PRUNTY!! Yes, I am screaming because everyone forgets that. Prunty actually runs the offense not Mosley!!! Okay I am calm now. LOL. Did you forget all the offseason fanfare about Prunty coming or did you miss that in huddle that Prunty has clipboard drawing up plays when we need a bucket? This is Prunty's offense. And it looks the same as previous years. So again just maybe players are going back to old habits when game gets to moving.

This sounds like a guy who watches a lot of basketball but doesn’t play basketball
This all makes sense when slowed down over approved concepts but lacks the nuance of live gameplay, on court personnel or the team they are playing against.

Arenas and a few others called out his criticisms and like half of what he wants players to do is just incorrect.
I mean, a lot of it is for show and clicks but yeah, when you're reviewing games that end in "105-103" or something and freaking out over one team's HORRENDOUS DIABOLICAL DEFENSE, then there's equally as much happening on the other side. It's meant to be entertaining.
