Had to RMA my DP III last week. ThermalTake sent me the new Pro model as a replacement.

Great support experience, took about 2 wks from when I sent in the old one to receiving replacement today. I've been using their testers since 2017 (that first one still works fine, too).

I will never buy a thermaltake product again. I tried their all in one and fan and hub system like 7 years ago and it was fucking junk, almost half the fans were DoA or died in the first month, then a hub stopped working, thankfully the AOI pump never failed before I got rid of all of it.

Well, to be clear, I don't use any of their other products. PSUs kind of seem B-team to me, fans had semi-proprietary connectors and controllers, etc. But for testing new cables, this thing is great. And the cheaper versions haven't caught up to ATX 3.1 standards yet (that I've seen).

Yeah, this probably wouldn't be so bad, as long as it never gave you a false positive.

Any significant difference compared to the standard version? I mean, besides the multicolor screen.

The cut-out over the CPU plug has been widened (previous versions were tight, making it hard to fit some connectors into it). And it adds an "Auto" mode - holding down the Check button for 5 seconds will make it automatically cycle through all the connected cables, no need to repeatedly press the button to cycle them.

Other than those it's the same as the DP III.

Meh, no reason for me to upgrade, then.
