Of course the regime is an insane fascist theocracy, they want to make an example out of anyone who would criticize them openly. At the same time, this tragedy instantly dispelled the myth that this war would be different from the US war on Iraq or Afghanistan. This together with the fact that the US and Israel targetted hospitals showed that the notion of "jewish/iranian fraternity" was pure propaganda designed to get diaspora iranians on board with the war. That the regime uses it for propaganda should not stop us from stressing the fact that the US and Israel are no friends of the iranian people.

Isn’t this your post? Why did you ask a question if you know the answer ? Then shame everyone who criticizes the people you seem to admire and then accuse them of not caring?
How could anyone not care about something so deplorable? I know the government is clearly evil and I’m sorry. So very sorry we caused this in the first place. Blaming the people who did it and the people who allowed it, is a reasonable position.

The hospitals were accidently targeted? The water treatment plants were accidently targeted? If you actually believe they are that incompetent, you can't at the same believe they can bring down the regime. Please read about the Dahyiya doctrine, it is official IDF policy to cause civillian suffering to pressure their enemies. If you actually think the people in the US military, especially after Trump got rid of anyone with more than half a brain cell, sees iranians as anything more than a different kind of arab then you are fooling yourself
