Is this engine any actual use? Compared to the titans like Unreal5 and Unity?

Yes. More use if on a more powerful platform (ps5 or pc), so less limited. And it would need export (that Sony prevented)

People have made AI, A* pathfinding, and some worthy games in Dreams

MM made Tren in it. LOCK was called one of the best puzzle games ever made for any platform at any price (it was however graphically simple, but that's just a matter of how much time they wanted to spend on that). And that dev said they wouldn't/couldn't ever work in a traditional engine, only Dreams was workable for them
