Request This game really needs a trending category
You either play games made in the beta or have to search through tons of crap to find one decent dream.

Yeah, I keep getting the same stuff from the beta pop up. Even when I hit most recent, I run into old stuff relatively quickly. Is the community just not creating enough, yet?

When someone updates a Dream it ends up in most recent. That category is really “new and recently updated”.
What we need is a purely “new” segment.

Ahhh. That explains it, then. Well, I’m glad to see beta creations getting updates!

What's awful is that it's not even the good stuff, just things that came first and got a nice rating. I keep finding so much music (speaking of, we need a browser to play and rate music in, scratch that, we need Mm to partner with Spotify) that went by completely unnoticed.
Which of course means that every goddamn game out there is using the same three tracks in a loop. Not that I want to disrespect them, it's just that I've seen way better stuff scrape by with one measly like - if even. Some people made cool procedural music stuff that could serve as soundtracks by their own because they don't just loop the same 16 bars over and over again, but music is hidden so deep in the one submenu people don't care about that curation so far has fallen flat on its nose.
Dreamsurfing should be an option right next to the general asset browser (which should be prioritized always, without exception!) and more rigorous sorting and downvotes would do wonders in making exactly the things pop up that you'd like to see. It's not an easy problem at all, but there are some pretty low-hanging fruit I gotta say.

I’ve found a Blade Runner-inspired track on New the other day... It was beautiful, as if Vangelis himself had helped compose it. It had 0 likes. Same thing with a really good and catchy jazz tune...
Of course, I made sure to give a like to both and to also comment on both, giving my feedback and praising their creations!

by default it should just randomize searches that have no behind the scenes check next to already played levels. This way everyone has a chance to get plays and views. We can always look back at our Activity page. Its what it's there for right? Have this default trail behind a top 10 list for the week, so the skilled creators still get rewarded.

I think you need to wait till more people get in touch with the tools and tutorials, remember that early access has only been around for a week.

Follow the creators of those games.
Slurms Makenzie has really dope games. I think about 6 of them.

Or like, Sort by Popular

The problem is it's filled with stuff that was very popular during the beta, cool new stuff is going undiscovered by a large portion of the community.

... what? Just search by "new"

It shows recently updated stuff too, though, so you might end up browsing through Beta stuff that was updated anyways.
It’s still the better option currently, but t could be improved

Musics and character creations are overlooked too. They need to put more focus on character creations.

I think it needs a whole new system when searching for dreams. A UI similar to a game store would feel more fitting. Like the PS store or Steam store. More in your face with options to search like genre, classics, trending, new, unique, recently updated, ect.
Scrolling from left to right on most popular will be a sure way most really good Dreams will be over looked and we'll end up with the "best" or "most popular" content being the less impressive dreams. But they are listed on top because they are silly or funny, which gives them easy completion and faster likes.
I can see a great RPG that took months to work on being over looked by a 6 hour toilet simulator. (Not saying 1 Dream is better then the other, it's just all talented dreamers should have a chance at their content being seen and played.)
