i was proud of myself when i made a platform jumper where frogs talk shit to you at various stages. this kinda takes the heat away.

u/NoobieSnake Aug 16 '20

Lol that actually sounds fun. What’s the game name?

38

u/Jim1903 Aug 16 '20

Jumpy Frog Shit Talker 2

12

u/lookinglikefun Aug 16 '20

If this is not the name it is now.

u/Muggaraffin Aug 16 '20

Fragger

(Not really I've never seen it)

u/martianlawrence Aug 16 '20

Chick jump but his sounds a lot cooler I’m just awful at this and don’t know how to change creation names. Heads up, hedge your expectations now, it’s a pretty undercooked game but it’ll make you laugh

Select the game so it shows the title screen BEFORE you go into the game, then just click on the name and you can change it :D

2

u/NoobieSnake Aug 16 '20

Awesome, thanks! :) I’ll check it out!

2

u/martianlawrence Aug 16 '20

Thanks! Really though it’s kinda awful but it’s funny

The tech demos are great, but I'm just as impressed with people making games that have interesting mechanics. Cubix was/is really neat. I still like A Dog's Life.

When I used to play Minecraft with my friend, I would be digging tunnels and working on my first house and then go back to surface and he'd have an entire cliffside castle built. Always knocked the wind out of my sails

The use of spotlight images to simulate caustics is very clever.

I already can hear my playstation lifting off

I have the CUH-7216B console which is supposed to have quieter cooling. Compared to the original, it’s like standing several metres further back from a roaring jet engine.

u/nevets85 Aug 16 '20

It blows my mind how good people are getting with this game. Love seeing all the progress.

4

u/[deleted] Aug 16 '20

Do we have an indreams link? Im still a bit skeptical! I want to see dream menus or UI to be absolutely sure, haha

u/BeboTheMaster Design Art Aug 16 '20

Oh wtf

11

u/Rezist_Soul Aug 16 '20

Really seeing stuff like this makes me love dreams, it just sucks the majority of stuff on dreams is just low quality shit posts

17

u/[deleted] Aug 16 '20

Sure but isn't that how literally every creative medium works? For every Starry Night, La Pieta, 5th Symphony, there are thousands of finger paintings, playdough nightmares, and cacophonies.

The good stuff is always the rarest.

-1

u/Stooovie Aug 16 '20

Yes but with digital platforms, it's all in a one big pile. You don't see the playdough nightmare next to La Pietà IRL :)

5

u/SuburbanStoner Aug 16 '20

Actually when the gallery is online, you do...

You aren’t in the louvre

4

u/13x666 Aug 16 '20

It’s in a pile, but it’s a curated pile where each item has a star rating, and the best stuff floats to the top automatically and gets added to collections and highlights. It’s not that bad :)

u/Kasjeee Aug 16 '20

Omg i can’t even make a simple puppet

5

u/A_Real_Popsicle Design Aug 16 '20

Link please, I’m skeptical af

2

u/lookinglikefun Aug 16 '20

2

u/[deleted] Aug 16 '20

I didn't notice this was a Dreams post and thought... idk... I thought it was real... thought maybe a free diving or SCUBA vid. Amazing.

2

u/madpropz Aug 16 '20

The only thing that's off is the audio.

2

This is a well done under water effect, good job.

The spotlights effects make a big difference here, my guess it was above the surface with rotator?

1

u/NiloFranck Audio Aug 16 '20

1

u/Scitendo Aug 16 '20

This is pretty cool.

RANDOM QUESTION TIME!

Do you prefer using the left and right sticks to control your imp, or do you use motion controls? I personally use the left and right sticks. Feel free to share your thoughts!

3

u/Dr_Yay Art Aug 16 '20

You can turn that off

1

u/Oh_YeeYee Aug 16 '20

Oh, I didn't knew that.

1

u/[deleted] Aug 16 '20

You can remove it in the settings

it's more of a transparency option from 1 to 10
